I was thinking last night, do you think most people, the majority of the public just dont think about what they eat? all the people on here obviously do, as i do, but i see lots of people every day eating such CRAP that i wonder why some people are aware of healthy eating, and some people seem to ignore it, or are oblivious. for example, i was buying a bottle of water yesterday in the cafeteria at college and two overweight girls in front of me were buying cookies and huge slices of pizza for lunch, washing it down with regular coke. why would they do that when they look horrible being big?

i know i worry too much about weight and diet because i think of it every minute i live. thats quite depressing really seeing as i'm only 15 and often avoid social occassions because i know there will be fatty food and theres the chance i might give in to it. and its even more annoying because i have bdd, so even at 80lbs and 5'6 i genuinely see myself as a fat pig, and right now being 100 i just want to crawl under a rock and die. i used to judge people like that, why are they fat, dont they care, why do people moan about their weight when they can be whatever weight they want, why are so many overweight, why arent there more skinny people in control etc etc etc, the list goes on. but then i realised, life is short and anorexias pretty much ruined mine and will continue to until the day i die. if you dont mind being chunky, why deprive yourself of foods, worrying about what you eat and your weight can make you so so miserable, its just not worth it. it makes me so envious to see people buying cakes, nut bars etc in the supermarket and not even looking at the calories, fat etc. if i see overweight people buying pizza i used to use it as reverse thinspo, 'if you go anywhere near that food you'll look like that etc', but now i just feel envious that mentally they feel they can eat that, and it's fine, and they're happy etc, so what if they're overweight, if it doesn't bother them then why should it be anyone elses business, besides a bit of meat on bones looks good. sorry for the rant but i just wanted you to see it from the other point of view

the fast majority of people don't think about what they eat. the eat for flavor and fullness not for health and function. a quick walk through any supermarket tells you about the types of foods that the average American chooses to consume. there is aisle after aisle of heavy processed foods and only a small section of all natural whole foods like veggies, meats, etc.
the sad part is that dietary habits start in the home. so many people are raised on junk because their parents ate junk, and the cycle continues with them and then their children. most people have no idea how they can feel as the result of following a healthy/balanced diet because they have been eating crap and proccessed foods for the lifespan.

It drives me crazy to see these 14 yrs. old think 90-100 is fat and am I pretty. What do they think people are going to say? They need to be working on homework and fun in life, instead of worrying about these things and missing out oin their fun time and teenage years. It is because of the models and the style which looks sick and way to skinny.=====

I see people do this, but being health concious myself, I just don't think that we can relate to what they actually think (or don't think) when they get the pizza.
Perhaps they have been fat their whole life, and don't really beliee they can be thin or fit. Maybe they are in the habbit of eating junk food. It would differ for the individual.

I am so tired of the same dang questions;
"How do I lose weight...FAST?"
"What diet will help me lose weight...FAST?"
If I see one more, I will scream!
They spent years sitting on their butts eating junk and making them big, but now, when they have something special to go to, they want to lose it "FAST"!!LOL!
Most want a pill (that's smart) or a diet that starves them (and the weight comes right back on).
I tell them exactly how to lose it sanely, keep it off and you know what? I don't think they listen. Give me a break. Enough already. I won't answer another weight question!

lol,well they just "follow their heart",I mean when they crave things,they just eat it and make themselves happy instead of counting calories and stuff...So yeah...
