Huh? Original sin is a concept that only has a scriptural basis. Why? Because it is found only in scripture. So I guess the scriptural basis would be the fact that it is written is scripture. What is the scriptural basis for circular reasoning?

Sin occurred first in the spirit realm before its introduction on earth. For unknown ages full harmony with God prevailed in the universe. Disruption came through a spirit creature referred to simply as the Resister, Adversary , the principal False Accuser or Slanderer of God. (Heb 2:14; Re 12:9) Hence, the apostle John says: “He who carries on sin originates with the Devil, because the Devil has been sinning from the beginning.”—1Jo 3:8.

The story from which original sin comes from is from the Old Testament of Judaism.
However, the non-profit Church of Judaism does not interpret the story as original sin. That interpretation was placed on the Judaism story of Eve and Adam by Christians/the New Testament so they could sell water baptism as a way of removing original sin.
The Jews do not believe in original sin.
The non-profit Christians are taught to believe in original sin due to their intentional twisting of non-profit Judaism for their own Christian non-profit purposes.
That's my understanding.

“Original Sin” has always troubled me as Genesis doesn't contain any direct references for this 'sin' to be handed down to all of Adam’s descendants. Sure, their lives are supposed to become much more difficult than what they had heretofore experienced; but where in all of that is the “Sin” being passed along?
Here is the relevant chapter & verse for reference: Genesis 3:14-19

The original sin comes from the story of Adam and Eve...
Now it is said that Eve ate of the tree of knowledge of good and evil...
where is the sin in that, who does this action threaten... to understand the whole concept one should look at is as though it happened today...
so lets say today Eve ate from the tree of knowledge of good and evil... how would that affect the world we live in...
The concept of good and evil are introduced entirely through religion beginning with the Roman Catholic Church...
and through their defintions of good and evil is brought to the human race the concept of sin.... This is the religious influence upon the human race....
The natural influence on the human race is evolution... evolution isn't limited to physical changes, it's also a matter of changes in societies, knowlege, and understanding.. a growth, a learning... through nature we have evolved to certain understandings of right and wrong, called a natural conscience.... and when the natural understanding of right and wrong met up in the time line with the church's definitions of good and evil we find they often clashed in opposition... the church didn't mind murdering or lying to promote it's religion through the world... religions are a form of slavery on the earth so they've never minded promoting slavery, murder was ok (burning of heretics or witches, crusades, inquistions) laws that come from religions usually condemn natural human behavior.... but laws made according to the development of the human conscience are laws against violence, laws of equality such as women's rights, rights of gays, equal rights for the races, rights extended to children all the way through, laws of non religious nature serve to defend and protect human rights......
So what is meant by the original sin... someone understanding the truth enough to expose and destroy the church.... and through that proving there is no god only a slave ring brought on by religion....
If the story of Jesus were to have been played out without the murder of his body ... if the man would have been able to continue his life's path, he also would have been known as a sinner for he would have exposed the church the same way, he was made a martyr in the story and called without sin because he died before exposing the truth ... Having the human race worship his death as a form of salvation psycologically prepares the human race to accept murder instead of truth clearing the path for religious take over...

Original sin is known in two senses: the Fall of Adam as the "original" sin and the hereditary fallen nature and moral corruption that is passed down from Adam to his descendents. It is called "original" in that Adam, the first man, is the one who sinned and thus caused sin to enter the world. Even though Eve is the one who sinned first, because Adam is the Federal Head (representative of mankind), his fall included or represented all of humanity. Therefore, some hold that original sin includes the falling of all humanity. Some see original sin as Adam's fallen nature is passed to his descendents. "Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men, because all sinned," (Rom. 5:12).
Original sin is not a physical corruption, but a moral and spiritual corruption. It could be compared to the Reformed Doctrine of Total Depravity which states that sin has touched all parts of what a person is: heart, mind, soul, will, thoughts, desires, etc.
There has been much debate over the nature of the sin of Adam and how it effected mankind. Pelagius taught that Adam's sin influenced the human race only as a bad example and that all people are born in the same state as Adam was before his fall. Augustine taught that men inherit natural corruption from Adam.1
At the return of Christ and the resurrection of all Christians, the sin nature will be done away with.

Original Sin is an erroneous concept. The message this idea is trying to convey is that it is the decision of each conscious being whether to willfully accept and live the will of God or not to. It is merely an attempt to convey the message that deliverance is not assured for any with the capacity to make decisions on their own and that they must consciously make the proper decision in order to preserve personality after material life.

While there are several passages that mention the idea of "original sin" ( a term not actual found in the Bible), probably the longest on the subject is in Romans 5, where Paul talks about how the effect of Adam's sin is passed on to each generation.
12Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned— 13for before the law was given, sin was in the world. But sin is not taken into account when there is no law. 14Nevertheless, death reigned from the time of Adam to the time of Moses, even over those who did not sin by breaking a command, as did Adam, who was a pattern of the one to come.
15But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one man, how much more did God's grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many! 16Again, the gift of God is not like the result of the one man's sin: The judgment followed one sin and brought condemnation, but the gift followed many trespasses and brought justification. 17For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God's abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ.
18Consequently, just as the result of one trespass was condemnation for all men, so also the result of one act of righteousness was justification that brings life for all men. 19For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous.

1Co 15:20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.
1Co 15:21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.
1Co 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
1Co 15:23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.
