...details of religion or religious differences?

Nobody cares about nativity scenes in public places. but they do mind censorship of their critcism of them.

It is difficult to fight a propaganda war (which we are currently losing in a big way) when you are mired by the same fundamental misconceptions as your adversaries - differing only by details.

This is the main reason why Bush's numbers have dropped and why republican numbers in general have dropped. YOU NEED TO UNDERSTAND WHAT DRIVES A JIHADIST AND TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR STOOPING TO THEIR LEVEL.

You aren't going to do this by throwing together a 'judeo-christian casserole' of garbage beliefs. IT CLOUDS YOUR JUDGEMENT!

It is republicans (not democrats) who give radical islamists what they want: JIHAD!

wake up........

This is the first time I've ever agreed with anyone who types in ALL CAPS and uses exclamation points.

"It is difficult to fight a propaganda war (which we are currently losing in a big way) when you are mired by the same fundamental misconceptions as your adversaries - differing only by details".

Amen.

It should be quite obvious that if we elect another religious fanatic (not that I'm saying that Romney is one, though his speech certainly courted them) we're essentially saying to religious fanatics all over the world "we think the same way that you do, and we're proud of it". Is that really the message we want to be sending so soon after having been attacked by religious fanatics?

I see many flaws in your arguments. For starters, many people DO care about nativity scenes in public places. In a small town I used to live in, of about 15,000 people, some liberals moved in relatively recently and were successful in getting Nativity scenes removed from the town courthouse; nativity scenes that had annually been there since the town's beginnings in 1850. So, the "rights" of many were trampled on by the few. So you see, your statement that "nobody cares...." lost your credibility with me from your first sentence...

Mormonism is not Biblical, while Mitt Romney just promised to be faithful to the Constitution as well as his church, which is not fully possible, while his stands on major things have not always been consistent with Mormon morality, and have changed (seemingly) to fit political objectives.

As for the overall religion issue, truth is exclusive by nature, and if you are proposing atheism, which itself is a type of religion, or belief, as the truth that will stop murder, then you are preaching a lie. Atheism has no moral authority by which to even define good and evil, while it's objectively baseless morality allows one to justify doing whatever is pragmatically "reasonable" in their sight, as Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot demonstrated in slaying their millions. http://reformed-theology.org/html/issue06/governments.htm

In contrast, no one was ever killed by a Christian acting consistent with the teaching of the New Testament, as the Biblical (not Roman) church demonstrated.

Meanwhile the reality of Jesus Christ is abundantly manifest empirically, producing effects that correspond to the claim of the Object of their faith and are contingent upon them (see links below)

Repent. And believe.

Please don't tell me that the democrats will not give JIHAD all they want. Wake up. Who does the democrats believe in? Is it the Lord Jesus Christ or is it the god of this world. At least Romney believe is something even if it is wrong. What do you believe in? John 3: 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

I think anyone who even mentions their religious beliefs in the political arena should be barred from service. Our current president, and his talk of "speaking to God" is no different then someone claiming to have recently seen Elvis, yet we give him the position of highest power in the world? I say, bring data, talk sense, or shut up and sit down.

Hmm...interesting! That means Democrats are all radical Islamists also? Last I checked, radical Islamists want to destroy all non-Muslims. That would include atheists, too...FYI.

*swoons* You get major points for using "pedantic" and for "'judeo-christian casserole' of garbage."

To answer the question... your concerns are valid. Romney is the flip side of the same coin an american president will need to deal with effectively. We need a sane, non-religious leader.

Anyway , good luck .
