Luke 24 : 45

After being hand picked by Christ and traveling with him for 3 1/2 years they still did not get it. They were taught directly by him including the secrets that were not shared with the people. They had direct access to the only begotten and still did not get the meaning of the scriptures. Luke 24:45 says that he had to open their mind.

To me this shows that it is entirely possible and even likely that most of what we think we know is wrong.

I love these verses:

Ephesians 1:13-14 “And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God's possession—to the praise of his glory.”

2 Corinthians 1:21-22 “Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.”

18There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

I can't remember where it's found, but it goes something like this, "Now are we sons and daughters of God, but it does not yet appear what we shall be like. But we know that when He appears, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He truly is."
