All happiness is true happiness. Have you ever had happiness which turned out to be something else? You get it by doing those things that make you happy. It could be practically anything. I think people get confused though, because the happiness they experience doesn't last. It goes away, and sometimes the things that used to make them happy don't make them happy anymore. They just need to find some new things to get happy by, and always keep in mind that they can't keep that happiness forever. It's fragile.

'True happiness' is not there in 'just being happy' with material things. That doesnot last for long, as the desire for getting MORE or BETTER comes-in.

True Happiness can be experienced, if you do the taskes knowing that they will take you to your destiny, but still doing them with detached mind. If you do tasks with detached mind and if you fail, you feel sorry about it but not guilty. You still have Joy of learning lession from failures.

You get True Happiness by knowing who you are, knowing what exactly you want to be(i.e your Destiny), knowing that you are capable to carve the path (making plans and action-lists) and by marching ahead. Everyday you may move inch by inch. If you move everyday in positive direction, it gives you True Happiness & Immense Pleasure, which is, then, long lasting.

Happiness is an emotional or affective state that feels good or pleasing. Overlapping states or experiences associated with happiness include wellbeing, joy, sexual pleasure, delight, health, safety, contentment and love, while contrasting ones include suffering, sadness, grief, anxiety, and pain. Happiness is often correlated to the presence of favorable events (such as a promotion, a marriage, lottery winnings, etc.) and the absence of troubles or bad luck (such as accidents, getting fired, divorce, conflicts, etc.).

Societies, religions, and individuals have various views on the nature of happiness and how to pursue it.

True happiness is to learn to be content with what you are and what you have. This does not mean that we will not strive to be better, but we are not to be sad or forlorn for what we could not achieve. Life is a level playing field and like a true sportsman we are to accept our defeat and shortcomings. Plus we are to be positive always , even in times of distress , based on a hope of a better tomorrow. So we should dream big and be happy with what we could achieve and what we are trying to achieve. This continuous struggle for self improvement with the conviction and belief to excel , is the key to true happiness in all spheres of life.

To realize one eternal occupational duty and ones actual self as a eternal loving servant of God. We get this by engaging in the process of Self realization (Bhakti Yoga) Which begins with the chanting of the Holy names of the Lord (also known as Krishna,Allah, Jehovah,Vishnu, Rama, etc.) Also offering all of ones activities, talents, work, words, thoughts, etc. in the loving service of the Supreme Lord who has many names. This process is nonsectarian and Universal and anyone can perform it. We just have to learn this art. It is easiest to learn from someone who already knows it perfectly, then one can be truly happy eternally. For info on how go to harekrishnatemlpe.com read The Science of Self Realization by Bhaktivedanta Prabhupada -It works.

If a human diligently discards their own faults, they will no longer see faults or differences within others.
It is finding faults and differences within others that causes man so much sadness.
When a human no longer finds faults within others, sadness flees from man, and "Love" becomes manifest within the human heart. This allows happiness and joy to fill a void that has been present in mans life.

"Only when the human heart is filled with Love can True Happiness radiate from man, to possibly light the flame within others."

True happiness is not attained. It is our natural state of being when we don't cover it over with too much thinking and identification with form. Don't try to get it somewhere out there in the nonexistent future. Simply allow it to emerge as you gaze upon the wonders of this world.

To see The Supreme Lord equally present in all, as one and realize Him through Knowledge, constantly thinking of Him with undivided mind, to be absorbed in Him while doing all obligatory and routine activities possessed of His exclusive devotion. These things give/ generate true happiness. To get it one has to resort to Shreemad Bhagavad Gita wherein real knowledge is defined as "Steadfastness in self-knowledge and seeing God as the object to true knowledge" .
