Sure there are. Obvious concerns are the industrial oil extraction operations, both the construction and operation of them.
More generically there is the urban sprawl, too many cars etc.
Industrialized farming, with pesticides and herbicides, fecal run off from feedlots, and overuse of antibiotics.
There could be a long list, dependant on how unique you want the issue to be to Alberta.

there are some carbon pipeline proposals designed to reduce greenhouse gases, but would require major infrastructure to be installed.
There are lots of issues of fuel developers encroaching on aboriginal lands, too.
And the mackenzie valley pipeline, sidelined since the 70s, has resurfaced: a proposed natual gas pipeline from the Arctic down into Alberta, to connect with existing networks.
