Yes...without a doubt!! The people that say it does not are just unhappy with the answer they got!!! Prayer works...God will always hear and answer our prayers....it doesn't mean it will be what we want...but it will be answered!

A Christian group, The Templeton Foundation did an experiment with hospital patients having heart surgery. Three sets of patients were chosen. The first group were told they may or may not be prayed for (but weren't)
The second were told they may or may not be prayed for (and were) and the third group were told they would be prayed for (and they were). Congregations around the country prayed for example for 'John' in 'Birmingham' for a quick and good recovery. Group 1 and 2 showed no difference at all. But the group that knew they were being prayed for showed a significant difference. Their recovery period was longer and less successful. The reason for this is thought to be that these patients had performance anxiety placed upon them that was detrimental to their health. Hope this answers your question! I'd also point out that when someone's prayers are answered they shout it from the roof tops but, of course if they are not answered they're not so vociferous!

Of course. It does. For a non-religious person, well this may not seem as obvious as for others. ALL people go threw hard times no matter how holly or how "riotous" people think they are. Prayer works, so long as you are sincere and as long as it comes from the heart. God might not be there when you want him there, but he'll be there right on time.!

Yes it does but there is a proper way to pray which a lot of people don't know or take the time to learn. Remember you are approaching the creator of the universe, what type of respect is shown. Just look at the way people show honor to judges, Dr., the president how much more respect should we show our creator?

one of the things i have always been told is that god's greatest gifts are unanswered prayers.

I am unsure of if i beleive in god or not, but I DO BELEIVE that everything happens for a reason. so the quote i mentioned above makes sense to me.

there are things i wished for when i was younger that i wanted so bad... and now that i see what my life is like now, i am happy things went the way the did. :)

absolutely, if you pray from your heart.

Prayer has changed my life, saved my marriage, gave me peece, jobs, sent fear away, sent angels tp protect me.

Prayer HAS to work when you understand that we have a blood COVENANT (contract) with God. It's His promise, would God lie?

Yes, but certain requirements must be met.
One is, if you regard iniquity in your heart, you will not be heard.
Another, if you do not ask in faith, but waver.
Again, if it is something that is not according to His will.
