Office consists of Word, Power Point, Access, Excell and Outlook.

If you have Word, then you have at least ONE version of Microsoft Office. You may have Office Basic, and maybe you're talking about upgrading to Office Pro? Buy it! You'll have to install it, which is like, uninstalling Office Basic and installing Office Pro. A new version of Office is kind of pricey. Many folks don't especially need it. Go to the Microsoft website, and compare the various versions, against what you REALLY need, and pick the cheapest!

thats not even a valid question because microsoft word is a catagory of microsoft office; like a laptop is to a computer... now if you ask how to convert microsoft word into an adobe acrobat pdf file then it would makes more sense...

MS Office is a big packgage that contains MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, Outlook and others. That means you cannot convert Word document to Office document. You can convert it (paste it) (in)to other MS Office document - Excel for example.

Office is the name for the collection of applications that form itself. Word is one of those applications, you will not have to worry about file conversion, it's the same application.
