Back in the days of the Vikings Greenland used to be green, it was farmed, now it is covered in ice which is melting due to global warming, we're coming out of a mini iceage. 95% of global warming is geological and 5% is manmade, that 5% could be a tilter, you could be right but if global warming equates to doomsday for the earth then why did you have children?

The question is not whether Global Warming is happening - it is. The question is - to what extent are HUMANS responsible and WHAT REASONABLE things could be done to lessen the effect!

First - I suggest there is NO conclusive evidence that MANKIND has a significant impact on Global Warming. Careless and Irresponsible reporting of CO2, Carbon Footprints, Glacial Ice Melting and so on is what I call MEDIA TERRORISM.

Second - I suggest you investigate on your own these terms and the interrelationships of these factors in our climate: Thermohaline Conveyor, Oceanic Absorption of CO2, Glacial Ice Core Studies of Atmospheric Gases going back 225,000 years, and Solar Cycle Activity records.

I think you will find plenty of evidence that suggest that Global Warming and Global Cooling work in Cycles, and that within these cycles there are SPIKES of rapid change, and that these all happened when global populations were much less than today.

Also consider that the KYOTO treaty - that is supposed to remedy Global Warming - puts the financial burden on Western Countries when it is the DEVELOPING countries like CHINA and INDIA that are getting a free pass while we foot the bill.

In short. Don't worry about it!

Natalie, you suggest we look around and we will see it. What will we see? That it has warmed a degree. Your small child has enough sense to understand that a degree or two is not a serious problem. You have been swept up in the media hype. The truth is that warming has benefits that outweigh the problems. Look around you and you will see winter. Winter is a time of death and starvation for most creatures. They simply try to endure and survive it. It doesn't take too much imagination to understand that a couple of degrees might mean the life of a small animal. Small childred die of cold related deaths every year. Do those who worry about the children care that more children will live if it gets warmer. The answer is they focus on the negative because they are pushing an agenda. Wake up and open your eyes!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think you should be more worried about real pollution and having your children's quality of life destroyed, if the people with major political agendas have any say.

How do you get to work?

Or how does your husband get to work?

Do you have a new vehicle that runs on something other than gasoline? If so you are in a minority of people who can afford to go out and buy a different vehicle.

How do you power your home?

How do you heat your home?

Do you recycle?

Before you beat others over the head and tell them to get their heads out of the sand, you need to look at how you are living. And what you can easily do about it.

As it says in the bible: Those without sin can cast the first stone.

I worry for my kids, but not about global warming. Global warming is simply not a serious problem. It will go away when the world runs out of oil, which may well happen during my children's life. I worry much more about things like running out of oil before good alternatives are found, genetic engineering going amok, and political problems of all kinds like wars or restrictions on freedom in the name of security.

For the Children! Think about the Children! If you don't panic about the pending doom, you just don't care about the Children!

I worry about the loss of freedoms our children will have because we are just giving up our rights. Our children will know no freedoms, enjoy no liberty because we were weak and believed slick talking charlatans.

Please. The temps haven't been going up in over 10 years.

And yes, I know the US is part of the globe. It should be warming as well if this were really global warming.

Me.

I'm an old guy, and I'll be gone by the time this really hits. But I have kids and grandkids.

And I'm also concerned about the rest of the world. Poor nations like Bangladesh, would suffer the worst. Details:

Really good website for more information here:

Lots of numerical scientific data proving it real here:

Proof that most scientists think it's real and mostly caused by us here:

Jello - Antarctica isn't warming either. This doesn't happen evenly. But it's happening, and the US will catch up with the rest of the world (in many ways, my friend).

Natalie, don't panic. First, you can't believe everything you see on TV. The media, celebrities, Al Gore know that you will buy into any message that SELLS, what sells? PANIC! We, who don't believe the global warming, are not the one's with our heads in the sand.
