it depends how much your weight is fluctuating. its normal for women's weight to fluctuate anywhere between 3-6lbs over the course of the month due to hormonal changes, menstruation, water retention, lack of bowel movements...so if its only fluctuating a couple pounds don't worry about it. if its 10 pounds or more it may mean that you are insulin sensitive and you've simply got to eat less of rice or cereals. you don't have to cut them out completely but you'll want to eat them only a few times a week instead of every day. rice and cereal are healthy foods as long as your eating brown rice/wild rice and whole grain, low sugar, high fiber cereal (a brand like kashi is trustworthy). white rice, high sugary cereals will always sabotage your weight loss efforts! remember to check your portion sizes...a proper portion of carbs is the size of your fist. hope this helps:)

they way to lose weight is to just have a balanced diet. Eat wheat products like that accompanied by fruits, dairy and protein. I read a book and it told me that the only way that me and you are going to lose weight is by eating balanced meals and healthy snacks every day. One random tip from me to you is to not buy skim milk. Buy 1 or 2 percent. Trust me. I lost so much weight and I know I am not going to get it back.

depends on what cereal and how much you ate at a sitting. some cereals are very good for you, like oatmeal or bran cereal, and others aren't good for you at all, like ones that are sugar coated. portion control is key. measure everything til you know how much is one serving.
