Christians who attempt to get under the law are just confused. The reason Jews don't sacrifice today is that their temple was destroyed in 70 a.d., and they were scattered all over the world as slaves. No temple-no sacrifice.
In 1948 Israel once again became a nation with about 600,000 Jews. They are currently planning a new temple-just wait a while, its coming.

I have found that Christians are generally nihilistic. God gave moses the 10 commandments. Those ARE His laws. But Christians have no problem lying, stealing, killing and coveting. I think it is a lot easier to SAY that you follow the laws of god, then it is to actually DO it.

I think Christians have a tendency to create the impression that they are righteous by saying that they believe in Jesus, etc. And that is all they manage, an impression that they are righteous. If you spend enough time with them you ultimately discover they are just as amoral as someone who was NOT a Christian would be and therefore have zero moral superiority. Unfortunately, all a Christian has to do to get into heaven is believe in Jesus. They can then go ahead and rape and kill ad nauseum, ask for forgiveness and be back to square one. Which is why Hitler is in heaven. (Hitler was Catholic.)

Christ Jesus was the final sacrifice. There is no further sacrifice that can deliver man from his sins. Christ was that final sacrifice. Without Christ, you have no hope of eternal life in heaven. Even the veil in the Temple tore in two when Jesus was crucified on that Cross, the earth quaked and the sky darkened.

To sacrifice today for delivery of sin would be blaspheming the Lord Jesus Christ..

The law was a shadow of the things in Jesus, Hebrews 10:1-4 and ultimately they had to be done away with in order to establish the law of grace, Hebrews 10:9. Romans, Hebrews, and Galatians all echo the same message of how we are under a better law (the law of grace in Jesus) than the old law (Law of Moses). We should as your Galatians verse points out not follow the old law of Moses in which if you stumble you die, James 2:10, Romans 5:20-21. We are under a better law, Romans 6:14.

why call out just Christians?? The bible is a guide/an accounting of man's relationship with God; we are not Jews so you have them b/c you have a dual address in this question; Jesus didn't bible beat; he delivered the message directly from God; don't remember Jesus offering sacrifices other than the sacrifice of his own life by the choice of mankind in order to show us that there is life after death; he is the way, the truth and light ; period.

In the past, before Jesus had come to this earth He had created, sacrifices were required as an offering for atonement for our sins. But God realised that the law was perfect, but we could never perfectly keep the law anyway so Jesus was sent down to die for us.

No sacrifice could atone for our sins for we had sinned against the Lord Himself so only the purest sacrifice,Jesus, could be sent down in our place. Now that His death has washed all our sins away,we no longer need to burn sacrifices.

God bless ya.

We are living in the days of the New Testament where we are to offer the members of our bodies as a living sacrifice unto the Lord, which is our reasonable act of worship (Romans 12:1 KJV)

As for why Jews do not offer sacrifices today, the answer is quite simple. The only place permitted for offering sacrifices is on the Altar in the Temple in Jerusalem. As there currently is no functioning Temple there, the sacrificial service is suspended. When the Temple is rebuilt, the sacrificial service will be resumed.

Why would we burn sacrifices when Jesus was the ultimate sacrifice? He fulfilled the law. It isn't necessary because law was given to show sin, show a need for a Savior and then to be fulfilled in Christ.

Now, we sacrifice ourselves for Him every day --- we die to ourselves.

Candles and incense do the trick as neat substitutes. All that icky blood was disrupting things since temples are not the outdoor structures they once were.

For Christians, we obey the new lat set down by Jesus, the two that replace the 400+ in the O.T.: Love G-d with all your heart; Love thy neighbor as thyself.
