Since the man is dead, it is impossible to know. We can read about his life and his behavior or whatever, but any opinions are pure speculation.

There is some evidence that he was a pretty odd guy who repeated words after other people said them and may have had other strange behavior. He may have had some kind of mental disorder, but I know thousands of people with mental disorders and none of them are world famous geniuses.

I wrote a report on Einstein when I was in grade school. I remember reading that he failed math; which made me feel good--"maybe there's hope for me yet" I thought.

To quote Einstein " insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result" to be honest I think that anyone who falls in that catigory is obsessive compulsive. Then again everyone has to some greater or lesser degree some O.C.D

I don't feel that OCD has any advantages (besides relatively smooth fingers) however (and that i wouldn't have sources) I read someplace that Being tremendously wise most often comes with some form of cost both a physical or intellectual dissability that doesn't utterly impair you for typical existence but does not aid you out so much either. One of my acquaintances has OCD and can almost always hold it out of her life however it's still ahuge pain for her to maintain however she is particularly intelligent !

Why you are behind a genius. You mean all the scientists are having OCD as they repeat the same process again and again ? I do not agree, because their efforts gives you comforts, things to eat, luxury to live and in many utilities to the society where as OCD person's efforts are useless, he knows he is doing wrong but can not control himself and does not invent / produce anything new for the society, he knows that he is in miseries and wants come out of his problem. An OCD is a problem but the research [Scientist] is the assets for humanbeings.
