You have to get there attention and I really don't know how I got my dog to speak. He was sitting one day and I was like good boy and praised him then he let out a little bark and I immediately said Speak after that. Then I kept saying it until he did it again and praised him. My dog doesn't really like treats so I use Ice Cubes and he goes crazy for them. Now on command he barks when I say speak. He is a lab though and super smart!

if you mean bark as instead of human talk everytime the dog barks say talk/speak and then treat it and that should train it after a while.

take your dog to a training class but they can only teach it to "speak"-meaning bark on command..
i dont think that you can teach it to speak like a human..
but if you find a way-more power to you and be sure that you share how you did it..
and remember if you are trying to teach it to bark on command-not all dogs will do it..
i have a dog that can do alot of tricks but i was never able to get her to bark on command..

You can't, really... unless it's a husky/malamute, or making word-like barks already. You could try teaching it to bark first (that's how my dog "talks") and see what you can do from there.

stand on one foot, put two hands up in the air, yell at the top of your lungs, spin around and have your dog sit and play dead at the same time, and then, your dog will talk, OH WAIT, I forgot something, you have to call in the circus too!
