No the -J- jota- is never pronounced like a -Y- Some foreigners pronounce it like--H--.That also is wrong for in Spanish we never pronounce an--H--.
--J--[jota] is pronounced always in Spanish like they pronounce the--X--in -Me--x--ico--,like the-G-- in Ar-g-entina{sp.].Like the-G-- in the Dutch language and like--ch- in Scottish --loch -.

i'm hispanic. this is easily stated AGUA. It feels like 'ayua' using fact some human beings do no longer open their mouths sufficient to make it sound like AGUA. (American human beings gaining awareness of to chat spanish?)
