Oh absolutely. When you rub my kitty's head, he closes his eyes and purrs, arches his back, oh yeah, he feels love.

I'd even go as far as to suggest they actually understand us & our emotions or feelings.. Have you ever noticed how a cat will sleep beside you when you're unwell? I guess some will say it's just the warmth of the bed they feel, but I think there's more to it than that..
I have a Devon Rex & she loves to snuggle under the covers with me each night & she'll even come out into the lounge & tell me it's bed time if I'm ever late(which is often)..
I may be crazy, but sometimes I'd swear she can understand my concerns for her.. I keep her in doors & only let her out if I'm with her, but recently I've been letting her have free range to come & go(leaving the door open).. however, the 1st night I let her play late she was away for 3-4hours, I was almost climbing the walls.. When she finally came back I spoke with her like a parent to a child, I told her I worried about where she was & suggested to her that I'd like her to just show herself to me every 20 minutes or so & if she did that, she could stay out longer..
I know you'll not believe me but I swear she does just that, she pops in & out every 15minutes or so.. She must stay fairly close because she comes when called..
She is my best friend & even though I now open the door for her, she still stops & waits for me to follow & if I don't she comes back in & calls to me to sit with her..

People are easy to fool, they'll believe any story if it's good enough, but a cat will only trust those they love.. Once you've gained the trust of a cat or(Devon Rex) you'll have a friend for life..

Of course cats feel love. They also feel pain, fear, happiness, etc. I believe that they have emotions just like us. I have had a cat for 9 years now and she is such a little Diva. She will let you know by her actions, and her mew on what she wants. And you can tell what she is feeling by looking into her beautiful green eyes. I also believe that an animal has a soul. How can they not? My cat is a very big part of my family. She is my hairy little baby. And I hope that she is with me for a very very long time.

From a person who has had many kittys, I can tell you 100% that cats do feel love. They respond to all areas of emotion. They even feel anger, embarresment, and they can get really bored. They always stay with someone who loves them the most.
