Roughly 80% of all Jehovah's Witnesses came to an accurate knowledge of the truth, just the same way you are.
We learned what the bible really teaches.
We all left false religion behind for the Love of Jehovah, and his Son, Jesus.
You can ask any in the congregation this same question and find out why they accepted the truth.
Each one will a different experience, but they are all the same.
The Bible, the Truth, and the correct understanding of God's word.
It is a trip I started many years ago and have enjoyed every minute.
I wouldn't trade the love and understanding I've received for anything else.
We worship a happy God, and he wants us to also be happy.

I was raised a Catholic and it just made no sense to me.It didnt feel right and when I grew up I saw through all the hyposcisy. I stopped going to church. I always beleived in God though.
When I first came across Jehovahs Witnesses I knew straight away it was the truth.I studied got baptised and havent looked back.
It was the best thing to ever happen to me.It is a wonderful priviledge to be counted worthy to be a witness of the Sovereign of the Universe!
Be careful for many on this site as way as family and friends will try to discourage you.But remember Jesus said his followers would be hated just as he was hated.
Keep up your study, the end is too close. You need Jehovah on your side.

They are very close to the truth. This is why they are called a "Counterfeit." Just like with Counterfeit currency, the average person may have a very hard time differentiating between the real thing and the fake. Sometimes even professional currency monitors can be duped as well. The differentiation can be seen in their Christology. For them, Jesus was merely a being that was created, by the father, as a son. For true Chrtistianity, Jesus is eternal, with no beginning or ending. If the sone was created by the Father, and a time existed before him, then he is not eternal. In this case, how can he offer eternal life to others, if he himself never possessed it. Thus, redemption is at stake, if he is merely another created creature. He would necessarily need to be eternal in order to offer eternal life to his "children.
The Jehovah witnesses don't see him this way. He is merely a son of God, a creature created by the Father, and a prophet, where as in True Christianity, he is "The Son" of God and equal with the Father. "He and the Father are one" in the same Spirit. He is not just a mere subordinate partner on a mission.

Actually, NO! i have studied with the thier teachings and I have found many discrepencies. I also found out the bible that they use is not a transalation form manuscripts but a version from one of their original founders that did not like the way the then current translations sounded. Rather than bettering the version, it has gotten to have more of the man made belief added to it. There are many points that may sound right but as you get further involved you will see the falicies. Ask them about the 144,000. then do your own studying WITHOUT their influence and see what YOU come up with. Ask them about the Deity of Christ.
God Bless you and guide you into His Truth

I would be very careful about what you decide to do with your spirituality. If you are in need of truth, no one person can help you find it, because only God knows who you are truely and what is right for you. I've know some JW's as well as some mormans and for some reason even when I talked with them I got the feeling I was being "sold" on something. Do not let yourself be sold. If you read Gods word and study it alone while asking God to reveal himself to you you will find your answer. And while I dont have extensive knowledge about JW, most of what I do know, I dont necessarily agree with. I can tell you one, there will defeinitely be more than 144,000 in heaven.

As long as you follow what the leaders tell you, you will be fine. But if you decide to follow the bible alone, and question them about the changes of doctrine and false predictions you will not like the results.
Just ask them to should you one verse in the bible that says Michael is Jesus. They can't. That should tell you enought about their teachings.

I did, but research everything out, including their history and past claims that never came true.
When you drink water from only one well, you will grow accustomed to it, even if it is polluted.
Research other churches to make a fully informed and completely accurate decision.
Beware of any group that claims to be the only one true church of God.

They seem to be able to answer in a way that man can understand and reason. I depend on the Holy Spirit for my wisdom and guidance. They depend on the watchtower. Be careful.
