A "Secret Admirer" is truely only a "Stalker" with stationary.
What pops to mind having read that?

I don't see how you can associate my quote to your first quote Beach. They are entirely different aspects! A secret admirer doesn't always send things through the mail. They will use special, romantic ways of hiding little cute notes here and there, a rose or flower every now and again in the newspaper, ect. How can you associate one man's comedic experiance with the rest of the world?

"among sweet flowers snakes may creep, But their bite isn't always all that deep"
Have you heard that quote before? Kind of contradicts your second one, does it not?
I love that you bring your opinions, but honestly, leave the history behind. That isn't YOUR true opinion otherwhise.

The term "secret admirer" is just a romanticized term for stalking... Essentially doing the same thing but with secret admirer it makes it mysterious, uncertain and romantic...

Your quote is generally attributed to Demetrios Evan Martin (born May 25, 1973), an Emmy Award-nominated American comedian, actor, musician, and writer, best known for his work as a stand-up comedian and as a contributor on The Daily Show.

Having been stalked by a creep for many years with a wide range of tools he sent in the mail, I would alter the saying to:

"A secret admirer is only a stalker with enough money in his pocket to pay for postage."

Or, as an old proverb says, “Look before you leap, for snakes among sweet flowers do creep.”

i think that the difference between a secret admirer and a stalker is that a secret admirer uses notes and poems and stuff like that. stationary is what is used to write notes on. they're both essentially the same thing.

i think you need to learn the difference between stationary (being still) and stationery (paper etc). apart from that nothing really pops to mind - sorry.

Never thought of it like that before but you might be right.

I guess they could be one in the same. Both are creepy.
