The religion of the future will problably have a different style of building, along with the newest and best in spiritual ideas and training techniques. Science and technology may have a lot of answers, but they will never have all the answers. The motivation to understand the intangible side of life, and to tune in spiritually and morally, will always be with us. People like me, that have talent in this area, and little in other areas, will always be needed to inspire people to get the most out of themselves, so that they can work extremely hard at improving the conditions of this world morally and physically. Technology needs spiritually sensitive people to guide it torward being used for the good of humanity.

I don't think religion will ever disappear altogether. There will always be some religions left. Some will disappear and others will pop up instead, like has happened earlier in history.
But anyway, if all those churches, mosques, synagoges etc. would not be used for religion anymore they could be used for various other things, such as orphanages, homeless shelters, museums, theatres, concert halls, schools, markets, restaurants etc.

When God shakes the earth, it will be the wicked and the unbelievers who will be removed. The wealth of the wicked is laid up for the just. The wicked will be as stubble. It was the false prophet and his followers who drank the kool-aid and not the man of God. We are told to test the spirits because often they are evil.

Surely when people see what's happened they will already have the knowledge of God and try to make churches a place of worship again. Either that or they be torn down and made into parking lots.

I think the Churches will be still standing long after you are gone. They were there for2000 years in Christianity and the Jews even longer. Faith doesn't go away just because the buildings are gone. Faith built the buildings in the first place.

I'd like to have one for a house.
I like the stained glass and high ceilings. The little alcoves would make great libraries.
The pews would make great wood flooring.

Public meeting halls. There will still be flower societies, chess clubs, dog show meetings, literacy groups, and model airplane clubs. And they need places to meet.

Near me two have been turned into apartment developments, one into a night club, two into furniture warehouses - there are lots of uses and lots of churches already surplus to requirement.

I'd like to buy one to make a house. I think the altar area would be great for my video system, and they usually have great kitchens. I'd probably put the bedroom in the choir balcony, so that I could look down to the living area. The baptismal font would be a great centerpiece for a wet bar. Of ccourse, the rectory would be a good office. I'd set up my computer system there.
