Your cat should be seen by a vet, it is quite possible that if he has been fighting, he may have a wound that has turned into an abscess and this can cause a fever, lethargy and the decrease in appetite. If this is not treated, your cat can get extremely ill, so please at least have the cat looked at. Good luck!

Yes you should. He's an old cat and sounds like he might have a very nasty infection setting in- that might be killing him. Take him to the vet: Cats don't stop eating and drinking without a reason.

Yes, he needs to be seen by a vet ASAP. At his age he could have some internal injury's, you should be very worried.

Barbara: Whatever was initially wrong with your cat is now complicated by the fact that he has not eaten in almost a week!!!!!!!!!!! This is a serious situation for you cat and he needed to see a vet last week! Please take him now.
