7 cents would be a fairly high price.
The Clerke Model 1 .22 LR revolver is a totally unmitigated piece of crap.
An ex-boyfriend of my wife gave her one, and it is positive trash.
The nickle plating looks to have been applied with a worn out old cheap paint brush.
The plastic grips do not fit well.
The cylinder stop notches are square and about 3/8" wide, and shallow. They do not lock the cylinder in place, and even with the hammer at full cock, it is possible to rotate the cylinder by hand, with no resistance.
The cylinder crane is held to the frame with a large galvanized sheet metal screw.
The forcing cone at the breech end of the barrel is large enough for a .32 caliber bullet to fit into it.
Double action trigger pull is very heavy, perhaps the heaviest I've ever felt, and very gritty.
Single-action trigger pull is not much lighter than most good quality double-action triggers.
Sights are very crude and virtually unregulated, in addition to being hard to see with the rough plating.
Accuracy is non-existent.
Reloading is crude and obsolete, it has a swing out cylinder, but you must pull the cylinder pin completely from the frame to swing out the cylinder, and you use the cylinder pin to knock out the fired cartridge cases. This was the method used for el cheapo "Suicide Special" revolvers in the 1870's and 1880's. It is easier and faster to empty and reload a single-action revolver! Additionally, the cylinder pin is fragile, my God-Son bent one trying to knock out a fired case.
And worst of all, it does not reliably fire when the hammer falls.
All in all, the best use I can think of for a Clerke Model 1 is to use it as a weight on a fishing line.
On second thought, 7 cents would be too high a price to pay for a Clerke today. IIRC, when they were introduced in the 1970's, the retail price was under $30.00. They were way overpriced.
If you haven't bought it, DON'T!!!!!!
If you have it and want to sell it, don't. Save it for a gun buy-back program in your area, you will get way more than it is worth, or simply smash it to pieces with a sledge hammer and throw away the pieces. Selling it to some one who actually needs a gun would be unethical in my opinion.
A Clerke Model 1 is one of the very few handguns I consider to be no improvement over being unarmed.

You can get 50 to 75 bucks on a private sale. A gun shop won't even do the paper work to sell it. not enough money in it for them unless they could pay you 10 bucks for it. If they sold it on consignment at 15 % to 20% which is normal they would make only 10 bucks.

Doc Hudson wouldn't lie to you.
The Clerke is possibly the worst handgun ever manufactured in modern times. I like the gun-buyback program idea Doc suggested.
