Here's my cheap student dinner with tuna - it's quick and doesn't cost a lot. I make this when I'm broke, and running out of time.

Boil 1 lb pasta. Simultaneously saute about 1 chopped onion & some chopped garlic to taste in olive oil. Add 2 cans of tuna (without liquid). Stir/cook until nice and soft. Add salt & pepper to taste. Combine tuna mixture w/ pasta when done, and serve with bread. Voila!

Enjoy!

When I was a child and times were lean, my mother used to make us creamed tuna on toast: a bechamel sauce, tuna, frozen peas and toast.

And in spite of the fact that there are lots of jokes about it, there is always the tuna noodle casserole.

A little more upscale, less homey recipes would include Mediterranean White Bean salad with tuna or vitello tonnato.

These are just a few things you can do with canned tuna. Fresh tuna opens a whole new world of tuna recipes.

Just search the net and you will probably find more tuna recipes than you can ever use.
