I like Isreal's answer. The Lord called me as well, when I was three years old. I heard His voice say, "You are Mine." Now I am wondering if this has any bearing on experiencing the Shekinah Glory of the Lord...
The Lord's Glory when it came on me, was so awesome that it can't be fully explained with words... but here's my paltry attempt:
I was praying one night and crying out to the Lord in complete surrender--when I was embraced by the most glorious light. It wasn't just light--but also a feeling of wholeness and completeness and peacefulness like I've never experienced before. Tears poured down my face--for the beauty of the Lord was so overwhelming.
I haven't smelled a fragrance like you mentioned though. What I know though, is that I know, that I know, that I know that He IS. When one experiences Him--you KNOW. How anyone can say He doesn't even exist is beyond me. The sad thing is that this is an experience that I can't *completely* share with others--especially non-believers. They can only take my word for it. :-( If I could share it completely--they would be believers.
The other thing is that I am careful who I share this with. I've had Christians tell me they feel insecure in their salvation after I shared this with them. All I can do is encourage them to love and live for the Lord to the very best of their human ability--with His help--of course! ;-) And to surrender their will to His.

At the age of 17, I made the conscious decision to give my heart to Jesus. Months earlier, a tornado had devastated our small community and taken our church. So we were having services in the basement of the pastor's house with the exposed pipes and all, I felt the calling and my sin nature told me to grab the pew in from of me and not answer. But a voice whispered in my right ear to 'let go and God would take the next step." So I did and do not remember taking one step but recall the look on my grandmother's face as I passed her. I knelt at the alter and asked Jesus into my heart. Immediately, with tears blinding my eyes I saw the pipes disappear and a light filled the entire place and embraced me in a warmth and feeling of love, that I have experienced in less amounts since. The light was so white and pure and I have never seen this color except in this light. I was not afraid but felt an amazing sense of joy. No one can take this away, as this was my salvation experience and I know that I will again experience it when I enter His presence at the end of this life.

The Lord put a calling on me at 10 yrs. old, but I had no instructing. Out in the wilderness, in my early 20's I was hustling pool and doing some dirty work for Nick the Greek, driving a 24 hr. taxi. Early one morning I passed a church, looking at it, and all of a sudden the Shekinah Glory of God filled the car. I was immediately in tears, and couldn't see where I was going, and I just floored the car, and It left.
Thank God He gave me another chance, because years later, He baptised me with the Holy Ghost.
I have seen the Glory many times, like a white cloud...and the presence of the Lord IS there !!!

The Glory of the Lord came upon me when I went up to the altar to repent of my sins and came back into the fold. I was a back slider. After I repented, I felt this sudden warmth envelope me and a peace come over me and it was so strong that I got slain in the spirit. When I came to I was so drunk in the spirit that I was staggering. That truly was an awesome experience. It is wonderful to feel the Glory of the Lord, when the Holy Ghost begins to move.

No, I have not, at least not yet, but I've learnt there are scriptures to support your experience...
"Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.
For we are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing." (2 Corinthians 2:14-15)
"All Your garments are scented with myrrh and aloes and cassia, out of the ivory palaces, by which they have made You glad." (Psalm 45:8)
You are blessed indeed. Praise the Lord for manifesting His presence unto you! :)
