If he wanted to, he could had just put the cherubim and a flaming sword around both the tree of life and the tree of knowledge of good and evil at the beginning. Or God can just put up a wall or something but he didn't do it. Why?

It's just a story. It is a morality tale, and a fairly poor one.

The idea is that all the "bad" in the world was caused by disobeying God, and that somehow that "bad" was then propagated to descendants.

It's really part of the constant theme in the Bible of how evil and bad humans are and how only God makes them better through his "mercy". It's really sad how negatively religion paints humans. However, it is effective, since it tends to keep converts filling the pews and emptying their pockets, by playing on our own insecurities.

"How else would he test obeidence to his word". Clearly--before eating of the tree they were naked and knew it not--and the fact that the tree has the fruit of knowledge of good and evil. A little rational thought here please. If they did not have knowledge of right and wrong-good and evil--they did not "know" there was something wrong with nudity--then they really weren't sentient were they. How could you be obedient if you aren't sentient. Pavlovian training of a dog, will make a dog obiedient in certain situations (housebreaking, sit, stay, heel etc) but the dog doesn't know what is right or wrong. the dog just knows after it does a certain action that some form of punishment or reward will occur. How could eating of this tree possibily be a sin-when Adam and Eve would have had to have had that knowledge to commit that sin. Makes no sense at all. And personally, if it was a choice between living like an animal in eden or scratching the earth for food and being a rational being--I don't view that story as the fall of man, but his rise from the animal kingdom.

Jehovah God created the first human pair perfect and put them in a garden paradise. They had everything they could possibly need.
The tree of the knowledge of good and bad was put in the middle of the garden to test their obedience and loyalty to God.
We dont know for how long or how many times a day the two of them would have passed that tree without giving it a second thought. It wasnt until Satan planted improper thoughts in Eve mind that things went bad.
Had they remained obedient they would have been given the gift of eternal life and would have been able to pass that onto all their offspring.Instead, though, they passed on sin and death.

There was no real forbidden fruit involved; this is only a misinterpretation.

When the bible speaks of partaking of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil you are reading what is called a metaphor. Knowledge of good and evil is a metaphoric reference to judgment. When you judge something you attempt to determine if it is acceptable or not. In effect you are deciding if it is good or evil from your point of view.

Once we were just like the animals and recognized that everything in the garden that God had given us was good. At some point we started to judge some thing as being better than others are. This set up a situation where something’s were more appealing to us than others. We started wishing for these things and were no longer happy with some of the other things in the garden.

This is what is referred to as the fall of man, or separation from God. Some references actually call this the detour into insanity. This self-induced separation from the knowledge of the perfection of god’s gifts to us was never shared by the animals. They were too smart to fall for this silly idea and were not fooled by the ideas of good and evil. For this reason they exist along side of us still experiencing the perfection of the garden. While we have excluded ourselves with our ideas of judgment. This is a truly fascinating subject that has many interesting facets. Including how to reverse the process and return to the original state. If you feel the need to discuss it further send an email.

Love and blessings.

Because Adam and Eve would not have had free will to disobey god then.

If you ask me it's a bloody stupid argument, but it is the only one that they have.

Face it, even without those guards or barriers, an omniscient god would have known exactly what was going on and could have popped up just before Eve took a bite and stopped it.

Why did he chose not to do that?

Even further back, being omnicognizant he must have known what would happen before he even said "Let there be light." The inescapable conclusion is that he deliberately put a design flaw into Adam and Eve.

Let me ask you a similar question - do you want your child (assuming you have a toddler in the house) to take a knife and stick it into an electric outlet?

If you don't want him or her to do that, why do you have electrical outlets in your home?

There was a purpose for the tree of knowledge of good and of evil, but it wasn't time yet. God had set it there so that when the right time came, it would already be there for them, but they jumped the gun.

Why didn't they eat from the tree of Life? Is knowledge of good and evil more alluring than Life?

With all the rest of the trees in the garden for them to eat from, why did they go to the only single tree that was forbidden? (Tell a child that he can eat any candy but THIS one, and guess which one he or she will go to).

The tree had to be accessible for future reference, but at the same time, God wanted them to learn to TRUST what He said, and TRUST is a hard lesson when you have to learn it by doing the wrong thing first.

Furthermore, if God did NOT allow them the opportunity to make moral choices, they could never move out of a state of innocence into a state of purity and righteousness, and they would be nothing more than robots.

If you believe that stuff then you would have to conclude god wanted it to happen. Your book says you will be perfected before you go to heaven and there will be no more sin. Now ask yourself....... how is god going to do that? His angels a perfect creation...... a number of them rebelled against him and then adam and eve also perfect creations fell from grace. The only way you could become perfect and never sin again is for your god to make you into a robot.

Have a nice day.

The Bible is a conglomeration of myths and parables meant to teach lessons. Taken literally, it is a big mess -- pick out the meaning behind the stories and you may come out with some useable info.

Why would you think that the man and woman shouldn't learn all that they can? If the story is true, the fruit let them know they were naked and covered themselves. If they hadn't eaten it, you'd all be running around naked, which scares the bejeezus out of many of you.

OBEDIENCE

The submitting to authority, the doing of what is commanded, the complying with what is required, or the abstaining from what is forbidden.
God’s will as expressed to Adam and his wife was primarily positive, setting forth things they were to do. (Ge 1:26-29; 2:15) One prohibitive command was given to Adam, that forbidding eating of (or even touching) the tree of the knowledge of good and bad. (Ge 2:16, 17; 3:2, 3) God’s test of man’s obedience and devotion is notable for the respect it showed for man’s dignity. By it God attributed nothing bad to Adam; he did not use as a test the prohibition of, for example, bestiality, murder, or some similar vile or base act, thereby implying that God felt Adam might have some despicable inclinations residing within him. Eating was normal, proper, and Adam had been told to “eat to satisfaction” of what God had given him. (Ge 2:16)
But God restrict Adam from eating of the fruit of this one tree,Adam didn't need to be greedy, there were evidently lots of trees in the garden.
God neither imposed a hardship on the man nor did He attribute to Adam anything beneath his dignity as a human son of God..so WHY choose the ONE that belong to God.
Adam, who also showed no appreciation and love for his Creator and Provider when faced with rebellion in his household, and who showed no loyalty to stand up for his God when put to the test, succumbed to Eve’s persuasiveness.
We are free moral agents able to choose for ourselves what we want to do, that was and is love on Gods part. If he has made us as robots how would we show him GENUINE LOVE from our hearts? Wouldn't it feel better IF a child or Parent said or showed they loved because they wanted to NOT because they had no other choice. Heartfelt love always feels better. don't you agree?

SO EVE CAN TAKE FROMTHE TREE!!! This is a lame question!!! God does eveything according to his will!!!

Hosea 9:14-16 (NIV) (the prophet is improvising a prayer to the LORD!!!...) Give them, O LORD— what will you give them? Give them wombs that miscarry and breasts that are dry. (And God rushes to answer him on the spot, like a God fearing Bush would!!!) "Because of all their wickedness in Gilgal, I hated them there. Because of their sinful deeds, I will drive them out of my house. I will no longer love them; all their leaders are rebellious. Ephraim is blighted, their root is withered, they yield no fruit. EVEN IF THEY BEAR CHILDREN, I WILL SLAY THEIR CHERISHED OFFSPRING."

God always answers our prayer even before we open our eyes, if we ask him “according to his will”…!

Jeremiah 16:3-4 (NIV) For this is what the LORD says about the sons and daughters* (*babies) born in this land and about the women who are their mothers and the men who are their fathers: "They will die of deadly diseases. They will not be mourned or buried but will be like refuse lying on the ground. They will perish by sword and famine, and their dead bodies will become food for the birds of the air and the beasts of the earth."

May God’s LOVING sadistic pleasure endure for ever and ever…! and all of God’s people say, “AMEN!!! and AMEN!!!” Any Christian of a sadistic orientation will find a real Paradise in Heaven. The rest will just rejoice in the LORD… whatever they think that is!
