The bible does not say whether Jehovah tolerated or perhaps even commanded the actions of the Benjaminites, for reasons that are not enunciated in the biblical account.
The concluding verses of Judges chapter 21 imply that there was no repercussion.
(Judges 21:25) In those days there was no king in Israel. What was right in his own eyes was what each one was accustomed to do.

There was a very practical reason for this, so no condemnation attached.
In fact, to do anything else would have been a great sin, and totally foolish, too.

Naa, that was Old Testament days, back when god was all like "Kill everyone! Keep the women, children and animals for yourselves!"
That's way before he went to OA (Omnipotence Anonymous).
Hey Debbie, I thought we have "free will"? It doesn't seem very "free" for a man to be murdered and to have his wife and children taken to be slaves. I mean, the minute we decide to use that "free will" he gave us he has people pillage our homes and murder us.
So much for "free will", your god seems like a bit of a prick.

lol lol - you don't even know that the Jewish G-d has never been called 'Jehovah' or even 'Yahweh' - these are mistranslated because Hebrew has no vowels so Christian scholars inserted them.
You are also citing material out of context. All in all, a hilarious post - cheers for the laugh!

Did you read the one where they were ordered to kill even the children and old people? I reckon now their war god is telling them to wipe out the Palistinians.

Jehovah's ways are upright. He never carried out punishment unless the people were warned first. If they refused to serve Jehovah he had no choice but to destroy them.
Same as today...He is sending his people door to door to warn you..if you refuse to serve him you will be deserving of destruction.
