No, it was very windy and grey and blustery though. I have never seen a brides dress get destroyed by bad weather but that's because I live in the UK and most weddings take place inside (our weather is too unreliable to plan an outside wedding generally) so most brides are only outside for a very short space of time.

It rained the first time I got married, but only for a little while. They say rain on your wedding day is good luck. We ended up divoriced. Go figure.
The way I look at it is if you aren't having an outdoor wedding, if that is the worst thing to go wrong then the day will turn out pretty well.

No rain on my wedding day...however it rained the few days before so during the ceremony (which was outside) everyone was sinking into the soft ground...my shoes did get messed up, but my dress was fine.
My parents had rain on their wedding day (actually a hurricane) and mom's dress survived...and became part of my baby bassinet & christening gown .The sun DID come out for a few monets when they exited the church, but thats all.

I hope so! We both love the rain and it's actually considered a lucky sign.
I'm putting on my dress at the church so nothing like that happens but seriously, unless you have the worlds biggest poof dress a simple golf umbrella and some care will keep you covered. If your wedding is outside you may have issues because the mud will get on the hem sometimes, especially with a train.

It rained the morning and afternoon of my wedding day, which was a catastrophe because we were having an outside wedding. Luckily, we'd planned an evening wedding, and by the time 6:30 came around, the weather was beautiful and everything worked out perfectly.

I don't know yet....Just up until 5 min ago it said it was supposed to be raining on Dec15 at Laguna Beach, but now it says sunny...so we will just have to wait and see. Though because of the previous sign of rain in the weather, we had to move from an outdoor wedding to an indoor one....just to be on the safe side. Congrats to you in your up coming wedding and good luck.

I was very lucky. I just got married last Saturday, on Dec. 1, it was a beautiful Christmas wedding. It didn't rain, but it did sleet. Luckily, I had some friends who got some salt down for us right away, and although we nearly froze our dresses were all fine. Thank goodness!

It rained on the day of my wedding (it was on the Oregon Coast, it always rains), but for the 20 minutes of our ceremony, the sun was out. It was misty on the beach when we got our photos taken. I walked in the water and my dress got wet but it wasn't ruined. It was great!

Yes, a little bit when we were in church, then it stopped. They called it a good luck sprinkle.
I do know someone who had pouring rain for her wedding and her dress was fine. They just couldn't let the train be on the floor outside.

No, instead we had a blizzard on our wedding day (we got married on Jan 2nd 1999, in North Central Ohio). We have pictures of bridesmaides holding up my wifes dress while she made her way through the huge piles of snow in snowboots. Pretty classic. What was less great was that we had about 1/3 of our guests that were able to attend. Still, nearly 9 years later, it seems to not have negatively impacted our lives too greatly :) And no, the dress didnt get ruined, thanks to the help people provided.
