Only an ignorant person would suggest that climates don't change but that is exactly the position that the global warming alarmists take. They pretend that we are in the perfect climate now and that it doesn't change. Any change must be caused by mankind because they have a hatred for mankind, corporations, industry, capitalism etc. I personally wish the people pushing the global warming scare would realize that it does in fact change and in fact is always changing. As a geologist, I understand that climates change, sea levels rise and fall, and glaciers build up and melt. Those that panic about these things are a little too paranoid about natural events in my opinion.

I would encourage you to do some research regarding global warming on your own. Historically, we are not even close to as warm as it got in the early 1800's. If you check into historical records you will find out that whalers were able to sail deep into the Arctic Ocean in pursuit of their prey. When temps returned to normal after two decades of "global warming" the whalers were caught unawares and many perished being trapped in the ice late in the season.

This is not the only historical circumstance. A reading of any well founded history book that looks at weather's affects on human events shows fluctuations far more extreme than what we have today.

The fact is that a single volcano can spew more greenhouse gasses into the air than all of humanity combined. The "El Nino" phenomena was based entirely on volcanic activity in the Philippines, for example.

Present theories about global warming are based on very small amounts of data collected in only the last hundred or so years. Hardly enough upon which to base a judgement.

Further, if you look at the trend of modern technology, it has the general effect of moderating the introduction of so called greenhouse gasses into the air as we find more efficient ways to produce products and transport them. The fact is that going back to the horse and buggy days would create MORE "greenhouse" gasses than are currently being produced, merely from the carbon dioxide and methane created from the emissions from horses!

Don't you think that it is more likely that the scientists who espouse this theory of global warming (by no means a majority of those polled) might in fact be mistaken? The planet has the ability to maintain equilibrium from the creation of carbon dioxide, merely through the respiration of plants. More carbon monoxide creates more "breathable" air for plants. Which creates more lush growth, which, in turn, converts more oxygen and reduces the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.

Please, please, please, do more research on this matter and you will see that the whole "global warming" movement is not based on sound data, but is mere conjecture by groups that just might have some other political motivations behind their advocacy.

Nobody is disputing that our climate is changing, we are just disputing on the cause of this change.

Also most of us realize humans have some effect, but that it's not as big of an effect as the Anthropogenic Global Warming believers want to make everyone believe.

We are also questioning their beliefs that it's a bad thing. (Have you ever visited a greenhouse? There incredible.)

We also question things like:

1.) Scientists claiming they know how quickly these changes in climate occurred in the past.

2.) How much a factor CO2 levels in the atmosphere has on this change.

And the reasons some of us question this is that we feel 100 years of data is only a tiny fragment of time in our planets history.

And an even smaller period of time when we've been able to send scientists into outer space to study our atmosphere.

Edit: Do you ever wonder why people give other people thumbs down?

Google "26 myths". The first website (newscientist) will give you 26 reasons why climate change is not occurring.

And the scientific reasons why they're wrong.

If you're preparing for a debate on this you'd better read them. Your opponents will.

The data shows why this has been taking place in the last 100 years. "Skeptics" have words and arguments. Global warming scientists have the data.

This is science - the data wins. Do you think all the world's leaders are crazy, working so hard on this problem?

climate is changing evry day but not asscientists are saying.
you don't know what was just before your birth, may be 100 years beforeurB/D, even just after ur B/D, will not know what will be after u leave this earth. earth is a very huge system then u can just imagine. for thousands of years it was not affected, so how will it get damaged in just 50/100yrs?

It isn't snowing on the pyramids?

Where ever you live, you will, more or less, get the same amount of rainfall, snow fall, pretty days, hot day, cold days, etc, as you have for the last 100 years.

That tells me that there isn't a whole lot of climate change going on.

Nobody disputes that the global climate is changing. The controversy is about how much man's byproducts are contributing to the change.

I would be very worried if the climate wasn't changing. Something would have to be seriously wrong for a process that has been happening for as long as we have had an atmosphere to suddenly stop.

frnds u must have to understand the concept of sensibleheat
and latent heat
from that we can understand that vehicles and turbine heat much wont effect the glabal temperatures.

The climate always changes. The climate can never be exactly the same year after year, day after day.

Why would anyone think the climate would be static?
