And why did it take all of 6 days to create it? Most of the features of the universe we inhabit had in fact 'crystallised out' within about 10^-15sec of 'big bang' which in fact determined the future props of matter, the interactions which produced chemistry, biology and life itself.
When an ideology can ask absurd questions like this, it is a sign of a catastrophic failure in its paradigm, a failure of the 'god did it' model of creation.
I do wish the creationshits would 'gerrof' this site, their intellectual equipment does not fit them to chew gum and fart simultaneously, let alone put up any semblance of a coherent argument. They commit intellectual suicide every time they're on..why don' you good old redneck trailer-trash boys go the whole damn hog?- your god awaits you! LOFL!

before God created the universe, He was doing nothing...because time wasn't created. There was a state of timelessness. Hard to believe or understand...but that's how it was. Genesis says "in the beginning, God created the Heavens and the Earth." Since the bible states that this was the "beginning," then time couldn't have existed before that point.
Now, by no means does that mean that God didn't exist until time was created...God has always existed. He's been omnipresent forever...which is hard to understand or comprehend, but that's where faith comes into play. And faith is an entire different discussion...though, I'd like to get in to it maybe later when I have more time.
