Both. And it should be both... It should never be an either/or choice. Parents are the ones who brought us out into the world, without them there is no self to love a beloved in the first place. A beloved on the other hand gives meaning to life, and is the partner for whom you will want to be a parent with one day. A person who values his parents more than his beloved should be careful in losing his beloved, and his chance to become a parent himself. On the other hand, a person who values his beloved more than his parents should be careful because that is what his children might do him too. There should be a balance between the two and not a sacrifice of one for the other.
As i have stated, both are equally important in life. the degree of importance cannot be measured. HOwever, it can be argued that the importance of each are affected on what stage of life the person is. If the person is still young and not yet able to handle himself, then obviously the parents would be more important in that stage of life because he cannot yet handle a relationship with a beloved. If the person, is already of age and capable of starting a family, then perhaps the importance of having a beloved to start a family with will be more felt.

Both are important, and they both play an entirely different role in your life. I believe that your beloved should come first however, in the sense that you are suppose to leave your parents for the sole purpose of having a family of your own. That does not mean that you shouldn't love and honor your parents and be there in every way for them should they need you. But your spouse and children and what is in their best interest should come before anyone or anything else.

well, truthfully it kind of depends on your relationship with your parents. If you had loving parents who stood by you thick and thin then all I say to that is your parents are your best friends and have been your whole life, your beloved is the one (presuming you are married) you have made vows with. You should always stay close to your family and your beloved should respect that but once you have grown up and married your committments and responsibilities are with your spouse while still maintaining a close relationship with your parents. However if you had a rough background with your parents and did not have a relationship with them. Then follow your heart and do right by that.

that's a good question dear. i think these people are all importnat to us in their own unique ways. it's just like dessert and starter. both are graet but can't be replaced by the other. i would say they all share the star. however, parents are God given and in most cases are always there for you. they don't usually break our hearts like the beloved do at times.

Your parents are always the most important, they are there for you through thick and thin. As where your beloved may not always stick by you through thick and thin. Loves come and go....Parents are there always.

Both are important, but your state of mind and capablities to handle them carefully is the most important.
You just cant compare/choose one of them. An intelligent and wise man always keeps this thing in mind and behave in the best way. There is no written rules and regulation for it.
