Will Jr stay and drive for his old bosses, or be a spoiled brat again and run off to some other team?

I didn't know Hendrick Motorsports was for sale, or that DEI was poised for a corporate takeover of Hendrick. Serves me right for not reading my copy of Forbes Magazine!

I think it depends on where Teresa is. If she's the head shark swimming in the murky waters surrounding a sinking Hendrick organization, Jr. better hope a few porpoises show up!

I'm guessing you are posing a hypothetical situation here. Hypothetically, if I were Jr. I would bail!

Rick sell to Teresa? I DON'T THINK SO! If anything Hendricks will buy DEI if Teresa keeps running the company the way she is! I'm not a Jr. fan, but i know he fought to stay with DEI, but he had finally had enough of his evil step-mom! He's not spoiled, (Sr. made sure of that before he died) he was just too stressed and felt unappreciated at DEI.

First off, NO, DEI will NOT buy out Hendrick Motorsports. DEI doesn't have the resources and money to be able to buy out Hendrick.

Plus, what is the evidence to say that Jr. was being a spoiled brat. Maybe he was just sick and tired of loosing and wanted a change at the team. In that case, he knew what he wanted to do so he wanted 51% of DEI so he could make whatever changes he felt necessary at DEI. Just because Junior felt like he needed a change does not make him a spoiled brat. If you knew that you would not be able to do as well in one work place but would have better opportunities at another place, where would you go?

Finally, Junior was with DEI for 10 years. That is a long time for his career and felt like he would not be able to be at his best at DEI unless he was able to make more decisions within the company. So just suck it up and live with it.

As others have said, DEI will never buy out Hendrick. If anything, the other-way-around will happen. And if you think Jr. is a spoiled brat, you're out of your mind. His step-mom is running the company like her own personal piggy-bank. He left for the team that gives him the best shot at a championship. You can't tell me that if your employer (I'm assuming you have one) ran your business in a crappy way, you wouldn't go to the company that gave you the best shot at success? What a joke.

How the hell would DEI buy out HMS, not going to happen DEI only makes so much money off Dale Sr merchandise sales. Seriously watch when John Menard makes a grab for DEI in the near future. What you really think Paul's got a ride because he can drive, no it's because his name's on the car. Think about it he got handed a top-35 spot when Ginn screwed over Nemecheck and almost blew that. Martin and Truex will do okay, but watch next year when Truex bolts because DEI cars are crap, and Mark's eventually going to stay retired.

i guess you don't remember that he made the chase last year with Hendrick this is why i keep saying JR haters need a life, JR haters are the ones that start sh*t not the JR fans, here's a little advise, instead of complaining about every little thing about JR just watch the races and root for your driver, honestly i could care less if your a JR fan, if you don't like him then don't like him but don't be a JR hater, the haters just have no lives, once something happens they run to the comp to get on Y!A, they also bring up JR in answers to a question that has nothing at all to do with JR, kind of pathetic if you ask me, almost like the haters need attention also JR has just been having bad luck all season except for a few good finishes, the only times it was him was the first 4 or 5 races where he had trouble with the pits, after he stopped with that then all his bad luck has been with car trouble or been involved in a wreck that wasn't caused by him or wasn't his fault now i know some JR fans want to think he's the beat driver of all time, i know he's not but he's one of the better ones and will eventually be great, JR haters want him to be as good as his dad which will never happen because the only driver just as good than dale SR in the same era or generation is richard petty, also if you don't actually notice but JR is very good at being able to move up in the field from behind, he can start in 25th then 10 laps later he's closing in on 10th, i know he's not the only driver that can do that but he's one of them and not many driver can actually do that, JR is also very good at super speedways and at bump drafting, if you remember JR is actually 3rd in all time wins at Dega, his dad being 1st now im not going to make excuses for JR but i give what the truth is, he's not perfect but he's not as bad as this season makes him out to be, its just a bad season, Hendrick wouldn't have signed him if he wasn't a good driver, people say its because he makes them a lot of money which is true BUT Hendrick already had plenty of money so he doesn't need JR to make him more money, hell he already had Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordan i've been a JR fan ever since he came into spring cup and i'll always be loyal to him no matter what, a true fan is loyal while other fans will just pull for the best one, better to be a JR or Jimmie Johnson loyal fan than a fan that switches evey few years - oh and about the wreck, he just got loose so it wasn't his driving, rear got loose like other cars can do, also i hear that it was because of the oil leak that the oil got on the track and he ran the oil over, so if you want to blame him for his car leaking oil then i can blame you for evey car trouble you have that you had nothing to do with (that is if you even have a license and a car)

Sorry to disappoint you but this will never happen, hendrick could buy out DEI.. Hendrick is the most financially set team out there.. I was LMAO when I read this one..Its like Jeff Gordon said in a TV interview, Jr will probably finish his Nascar career at HMS, its such a great organization he'll stay here after his 5 yr deal is up..

Go Dale Jr & Hms in 2008

He'll go wherever he has the best chance to run for a title, but I doubt he'd ever go back to DEI, being that practically no one in DEI's upper management knows JACK SQUAT about racing.
Jr's decision to leave DEI has nothing to do with being a "spoiled brat," as you so eloquently put it. It's about improved competion and enjoying his job... two things DEI could not offer.

First of all DEI will NEVER buy out Hendrick...have you been paying attention? Second, Junior did not run off like a spoiled brat he fought tooth & nail to make it work the Wicked StepMonster stopped it. Third & lastly he chose to further his career, to actually have equipment he could rely on, to WIN races & after 7 DNF's with DEI it was a pretty good move I would think.

Intresting view point.
Don't look for anything like that to happen to Hendrick Racing.
With the strongest finances in NASCAR Hendrick is here for the long haul, but saying that this is the same thing said about J.D.Stacey in the 70's and 80's,where is he today totally out of the racing scene.
So would Hendrick sell to another team,no but would make a quiet exit and fade out as with Stacey.
