This is a very serious question so don't laugh at me :) Are there any Aplaca breeders in Turkey and if so is there a market in Turkey for Alpaca fibre ?

That's great news Blunt :) not only do they spit but they also kick pretty bad so I would hate to be a burglar trying to break into a place with an Alpaca out the front. Not only would you be spat on but kicked as well and bundled up ready for the Police to take you away. That is a very novel idea I should have thought of that as a marketing ploy selling security Alpacas in Turkey anybody interested ? :))

Wouldn't be surprised if there is. We have ostrich and Ankara rabbit farms, after all.

The question is, would be OK to have them as family pets. We could look after them in the garden and they would spit at wanna-be burglars at night. :)

Edit: Someone seems to have thought of trying:

Edit 2: Security alpacas is a novel idea which demands attention, but I have thought of having security geese. I hear they are vicious attackers. Not to mention you can get eggs, too. :)

I don't think so, or at least I have never been that drunk, an Alpaca? A sheep maybe?

Thought I would leave with a thought that you would remember. See this way you will be glad to be rid of me for awhile.
