I have a 2000 dodge intrepid that I bought in 2001 and never had this problem since a couple of days ago. When I put on either the left or right blinker it starts to blink but then will stop for no reason and sometimes goes back on and sometimes just stays off. It looks like all of the lights are working and I checked the fuse for the blinkers. Any ideas? Could it still be the bulbs even though they are all working? any ideas would be greatly appeciated

You're Intrepid has what is called a combination flasher. It is located in the fuse box and looks kinda like a relay but slightly bigger. Some are light blue. This flasher is a solid state design and operates both the 4 way flashers and the signal lights.

it can be a bad ground ,but more than likely its a bad flasher unit when it heats up it stops flashing, that's usually what it is 99% of the time, its a cheap part to buy though only a few bucks and less that 2 minutes to replace, and that should restore the light to the way they should flash,be sure and use the same number flasher when replacing this, other wise they may flash too fast,it should belocated around the fuse box area, good luck with it.
