Was it a really bad haircut? Practical joke gone bad?

Don't fret over it - I always say, "That's the great thing about hair. It grows back!" (Seriously, I've said that for more than 15 years now.)

I wish I knew what your thoughts were and what your motivation would be to wear a wig. BUT - don't forget, you don't have to wear a wig, either! Whenever I have had a bad haircut that I'm growing out, I have fun with it - spiking it up, leaving it messy, slicking it back with funky products, and I've never worn a wig - my equivalent to a wig has been to wear headscarves. You can wear a pretty, flowy one or even wear a bandana like a do-rag.

If you have a Harley Davidson shop in your area, you could even go buy yourself a real do-rag, and they're usually around $10.

You don't have to completely shave your head right away - have fun with the little bit of hair you have for a few days and if you still don't like it, then shave it off later. I think you'll find it's going to start growing back in sooner than you thought and then later you may just get things trimmed up to even it all out.

Whatever you do - keep your chin up, dear, and have fun with it when you can! Like and earlier poster said, I would LOVE to shave my head and be free of it all! I don't think my daughter or my husband would think much of it though, so I just keep my hair as short as I can get away with...

:-)

I too am bald, I shave my hair off every time it grows over 1mm. Research of bald people are very enlightening, saying they have such a high level of testosterone.
Actually it depends on you if you like to wear it shaven or as it is or wig it out. It depends on how you see it. For a women to be bald causes social stigma. It develops low esteem to the bearer especially in the modern cities and urban areas. It depends in your opinion, because if you ask people nowadays they would encourage you to shave it off or just let it be. They would encourage you to be yourself (hair or none). The rationale is that if you choose to be in a wig and if it is noticiable, they would know that your wearing one and would make some remarks.
If you are a cancer patient undergoing chemotherapy, "wait it out" because baldness in chemotheapy sessions is only temporary.
If you think it would grow again, it is better to wear a bandana rather than a wig. A bandana is much comfortable and can be refreshed everytime it is dirty. The wig on the other hand can be a house for mites, dirt and bacterias, hard to clean.

I know the feeling well. If you're missing quite a bit already then do what I did and smooth shave every last hair on your head. I was glad I did it because: I never had to worry about a "bad hair day", I never bought shampoo, conditioner or styling gels nor did I ever spend time blow drying, or wake up with "bed head". It also made me appear younger than my age because you have NO GRAY HAIRS when you have no hair at all. I used the razor, in the shower two times a week, and didn't require anything else.
Shave it, for sure!

Shave it! You'll look better!

There are four popular and well-known men today that look awesome with bald heads.
1) Bruce Willis
2) Andre Agassi
3) Ed Kowalczyk
4) Wentworth Miller

So if your head and face shape is anywhere near these four people then by all means don't hesitate. It doesn't matter how old you are. Just go for it.

If you like it bald, keep it bald. If you want it longer, grow it. No need for wigs though..

My son was going bald. He had very little on the top of his head. His sister gave him some fish oil supplements, he started taking them, and his hair started to grow back.

Leave it as it is - for guys, it's quite natural.

I have the solar panel, plus a bushy beard.

My son has less coverage than me, so shaved it all off; except for a little soul patch under the bottom lip.

Looks great; but he gets mistaken for a bouncer; which is sad, as he is big, strong and very gentle, even when drunk!

If you are female; dunno; depends on what the cause is.
