he spends alot of time in and they always post him a present which is lovely of them , do i send them a christmas card and say thankyou for the present or do i send them a card but then send them a thankyou letter after christmas??

Yeah send both it's nice to show them you appreciate it.

Big kiss to you and your little boy it's not easy to see a child in hospital a lot and takes a lot of strength from you and your son xxx

Send both the Christmas card and a nice thank you note after Christmas.

The proper way is to send separate cards, send a Christmas Card and then when you get the gift, immediately send a thank you card....

My daughter spent a lot of time as a baby in the Special Care unit because she was so premature. If we have to go into the hospital again we always stop by and give the nurses and doctors there a tin of biscuits or celebrations to say thanks for all the hard work they did. From what I remember talking to the nurses, a lot of parents don't say thanks and they do really appreciate it when you do. Nice idea! A card or a letter would be lovely - and why not drop in a box of biccies or something too! (for their tea breaks!)

Send both I think the staff are always pleased about such things in the same way as you would be

if he is always on the same ward i bet the medical staff would appreciate a box of chocolates to share as well as a card

you can do either one. you can send an all in one xmas card that thanks them as well as wishes them a merry xmas. believe me, i work at a hospital and it does make you feel good and want to keep it up when you hear back that from those you've helped.

a card with the Thanks is better as people who are still in their will gain hope from reading it..what a lovely hospital
