.....the car slowly turns into dust and the voice over say's "Toyota impacts nothing".?
It's a 'green/earth' commercial but I thought it was funny being a Stock Car fan didnt you?.....From a competition and durability standpoint.

I mean, I wouldn't mind having a Chevy sitting in the weed's for 40 year's in the back pasture or in the barn because my Grand kids would eventually pull it out and restore it after I'm gone!

I guess you can't do that with a Toyota. The Toyota shortly turn's to dust.

It's all fun and games and a good ribbing for me.
It just struck me as funny. I have a very dry sense of humor. lol.

Their engines might last for 2 or 3 hundred thousand but not the bodies. I'm with ya on that. Gimme a late model Camaro with a good old fashioned 4 barrel carburetor. Good at least for a cruise or two on the weekends for the shows. Something to pass down from generation to generation. You'd need a dust pan and broom for a Toyota!!!!

I think the commercial is hinting that Toyota will leave the others in the dust. Maybe they will. Hope not. Time will tell. I like our version of events much better!!

Stupid. That was a commercial that was about becoming more green for the environment. It has nothing to do with the Toyota's racing on the racetrack (even though I do find the joke with Tony Stewart above hilarious).

If you are another one of those people that believes that Toyota is not an "American" car, you are completely wrong. First off, what is an American car. If you define that as in employing the most Americans, then Toyota is your man. While Ford is heading off to Canada and Chevy is going to Mexico, Toyota is staying put here in the U.S. Just give Toyota a break. They build great cars and when they are able to perform on the racetrack, many people will be forced to shut up.

Have not paid attention to the commercial but I think there is some intresting logic going on here.
And Tony is leading the Daytona 500 and something is going on in turn4 there is a cloud of dust and ...and wait folks Tony is sitting in the middle of the track and his car has turned to dust around him,I haven't seen this type luck since Dale Earnhardt.Last lap of the Great American race and Tony's car has gone green and turned to dust.
Well anything could happen.

lol thats funny how they want to help be greener to the environment. All that **** is just a big gimic to get people to buy cars thinking they are helping the world. If you have an elctric car it makes just enough fumes by making the acid and the plates for the battery in the car. Lol its a bunch of crap. Then they go into NASCAR which polutes. lol Toyota is dumb and so are 4 horespower hybrids Go Tony!

I'm not familiar with that commercial. From a NASCAR point of view, if I were one of the Toyota drivers, I would think about what the voiceover said and nod my head. Toyota certainly didn't make an impact this past season.

I dunno. I got 212,000 miles out of my 1990 Toyota Celica before handing it down. It's still running quite well, though the light blue paint was fading.

For all you Toyota haters- I present the Chevy Chevette- the biggest piece of shiite ever to adorn the showroom floor.

Papa- your Daytona scenario creates quite a mental picture. I have this image of Smoke sitting in the middle of the track on.......nothing but pavement.

It's a TV commercial and it's about carbon footprints and the environment. And it's an advertising slant. The car doesn't really turn to dust, just like Jr never really got chased by the crazy mutant desert guys from "Mad Max"

Don't worry NASCAR isn't green and they won't be racing Toyota's, just CoT's with Toyota stickers and headlight decals on them.

All Toyota bodies are made with petroleum products. It takes petroleum to lubricate that car. It take petroleum products to lubricate the machines in the assembly plants. Being in the oil business makes me laugh when I see such dribble fed to the American public. Come on Toyota, quite feeding us BBBBSSSS!!!!
