About 4 weeks ago my car was rear ended at a red light traffic stop.
It was being repaired for 3 weeks and i was unable to obtain a hire car for the duration as I'm under 25 and was informed that hire company's do not provide insurance to under 25's.

Today i received my car from the place where it was being repaired and found that the work is really unacceptable. There are huge gaps between the joints of the bumper and rear lights , they didn't replace damaged mud flaps which were cracked from the rear bumper being squashed into them , there are wire clips missing , there are paint leaks where the paint has leaked and dried , there are grease stains everywhere on the upholstery and I'm yet to have a look at the under body which i will do tomorrow.

what can i do ? is a payout an option as I'm really HATING to have no car again if they are going to have to make corrections again

please help thanks in advance everyone!

If you are unsatisfied with the work, you need to call the insurnace company that covered the repairs. They will most likely direct you to the body shop. The shop is obligated to return your vehicle to its pre-loss condition, no matter how many times it takes to get there.
If you have used your own comapny and have to pay a deductible, I would hold off on paying the deductible until the repairs meet your standards

In the US it works like this: If the insurance company had a direct repair program and they warranty the body shop work - call the adjuster and let them know.

If the shop is one you picked - the insurance company does not have a direct repair agreement with - then the insurance company will not pay to fix the car again or to provide a rental car. The insurance company's attitude is that they paid to have the car fixed and they expected it to be properly repaired.

Take the car back to the body shop. Speak to the body shop manager and point out all the things that are wrong with it. Usually the body shop will take the car back and make it right. They may even provide a loaner or rental vehicle.

Simply refuse the repair base on the quality of work and demand a vehicle to drive and make the person that hit you pay for it. The insurance company should cover all of the expenses do not back down period if you are not satisfied contact a lawyer and ask for some free advise.

This happened to our car - you will need to contact your insurer and let them know. They will then contact the repairer and your car will go back to them. If you want, you can try and ask for another repairer - but they may not agree.
I really feel for you! Doesn't it annoy that someone who is apparently trained to repair cars doesn't have a clue? It really disrupts your life.
Our car was 3 days old and some git hit it. I had to take it back 3 times to a repairer. Paint dripping, clips missing, panels not lining up, dash scratched to hell when the pulled it out etc.
IDIOTS.
I hope it gets fixed and it happens quickly for you.

I do not know where you live but here in the US most body repair shops warranty there work.
Go back to the shop show them what you don't like and deal with them. They may offer to help you.
