He was a great Sculptor, the artist of many important masterpiece statues in Turkey and once honored to be on the cover of Time Magazine and sadly another victim of Traffic accidents in Turkey.
A lot of precious lives have been lost in traffic accidents and still the laws aren't strong enough to discourage careless drivers..

If you allow stupid, illeterate people to drive buses and lorries this is what happens. Unfortunately we keep on losing wonderful people like Dr. Ãktem, a great artist.
Some months ago, a Turkish guy arrived in Cyprus and asked for a job. They let him drive a huge lorry with 32 speed shifts. On the same day, as he was driving downhill, he smashed a Mercedes taxi, killing 6 people. Was he the guilty one, or the boss that let him drive that lorry in a country he has just arrived?

Prof.Dr.Tankut Ãktem was a very famous sculptor.
