Often they offer a soft focus filtering which is actually done in the printing of the photos. It softens lines and imperfections with a slight blur in the facial area. In the past (days of film) negative retouching was available for senior photos, mainly.Once the negative was retouched, any number of prints could be made from it. Today's seniors are Photoshopped.

Air brushing is a technique used on a picture after it is printed, so if you ordered 10 pictures, each picture would be treated individually. Volume photography doesn't allow for that and I doubt the consumer would want to pay the price.

No. There isn't enough time or profit margin to do it at the price offered.

Depending on the photographer, it may be possible to have your picture post processed. This would probably only be done way after the season for shooting school portraits.

A colleague of mine shoots school portraits and she may shoot something like 6000 for the season. Doesn't leave much time for anything but banging them out.

Senior pictures can be another matter altogether.
