You could name your dog George W. Bush Jr. because President George Bush the first is actually George H. W. Bush, while the second President George Bush is George W. Bush (with out the H) so he is actually not a Jr.

Why not? Isn't America a democracy? As far as I know George W. Bush Jr. isn't a copyrighted name - there must be thousands with the same name in the US. It's a bit of a mouthful for a pet name though isn't it!!

There is no law about naming pets, at least none that I know of. Why would it be illegal to name your dog after the President?

of course not there are no laws regarding pet names and also my dogs name is Clinton and my hamsters name is George w. bushy

I don't think so. But check with an attorney first, you don't want to get in some kind of trouble. Bush is known for doing crazy things.

it may be legal to give any name but if insult is intended law of defamation may be attracted.
