Most of your answers have been correct, yes with green card, to be honest in my opinion any illegal who would be willing to go fight in Iraq for the US should be given a greencard the day he says he wants to fight, he sure would get my vote for instant citizenship.. You must be here legally and have a green card. There are plenty of people who do it all the time - if you really wish to serve and love the US then go through the proper channels. I understand the green card wait is ridiculous that's not the point - why should you be allowed to serve illegally when everyone else has to be legal?

You can be a non US citizen and join the US millitary BUT you have to be here legaly. If you just want to join talk to a recruiter and they may be able to find a way to get you in inspite of you illegal status.
