Part of being a good parent is being financially responsible for them. Child support is NOT a punishment as some people see it, it's just the government making sure that children are being taken care of.

I don't get it, your question and the explanation doesn't quite match up...

I mean the only way to stop child support would be to marry the father, then you're both financially responsible by being married and having kids together.

Good fathers are good fathers because they provide the necessities and love a child needs, that includes the money to buy the necessities.

If you're looking to reward the father, why not look into splitting custody in a more equal way (if it's not equal already)?

Not sure that you can stop it, but good for you for trying.
The child support system in this country just tears families apart and causes lots of anger and tension between families. The point of a "child support" system should be to benefit the child, but instead it just benefits the ex. My husband has to work EVERY day to pay his support and our bills, so he has no time to see the kids he's supporting. It is so unfair to men who are good fathers.
If you are on govt assistance you cannot stop support in most states. Otherwise you should be able to contact your caseworker and set up a court date to have it stopped.

there isn't one thing wrong with child support... and it's not for YOU it's for the kids -- they need to live in a home with running water, electric and other necessities... the child support received is for you to use in their behalf.

it's nice that your children's father has always taken good care of them... be thankful for that.

if you don't want to use the child support now, put it in a college savings or other interest-earning investment for them to use later.

take care.
