When I got out of prison my son was already twelve. He was raised well by his mother in my absence. He was very involved in community theater. It was at a cast party four years ago that all the questions started coming. After I left the party two other parents went in to a room where all the teens were hanging out. There, on the bed, my son was lying in the arms of a man ten years older than his fourteen. I was told of this the next week and blew my top. I was told how ridiculous I was. This guy just hangs around. He doesn't work. He plays with Barbies. And about eighteen months he started selling weed and giving weed to my son. When I pressed my son's mother to put an end to this BS I ceased being a guest in her house. My son won't talk to me. They all say I'm making trouble out of nothing. I think the guy is a pervert with no regard for the law. I think any MAN would have taken a step back and not been so pushy. Am I crazy? What would a shrink say?

I'm thinking you need to call the police and child welfare...the 'older' guy was being nasty and abusive..(under 14 is grounds for rape/abuse of a minor) you AREN'T being weird, YOU'RE RIGHT...please get your son some help, SOON..

Whatever he is or is not, I strongly suggest you contact the police forthwith.
Your 14 year old son was in his arms! This guy doesn't work and plays with Barbies! He's giving weed to your son!
I am sure the local police would like nothing better than a long chat with him. Believe me, you most certainly are NOT making trouble out of nothing.
To hell with what a shrink would say - you are not crazy, simply concerned for the well-being of your son.

CALL THE COPS! Some old guy hanging around your son and giving him weed is wrong. Are you worried the cops won't believe you cause you were in prison before? That shouldnt matter- but if it does, get some evidence on him hanging around schools for no reason, etc..also run his name in the sex offender data base and see what comes up. He might be up there for something. Maybe you find him online- myspace or something, im sure he's trying to solicit minors online.

I don't know what a shrink would say, but i am saying this -- contact social services and let them know what happened... they really need to interview your son. sometimes they will go to the school to do this in private with the child
The 24 yr old guy sounds a little whacked to me?
Also, you might want to consult an attorney... maybe they would have advice?

i dont know the answer but it sounds like your son is happy, isnt that whats important?
