For long flights I always choose an aisle. I like to be able to stretch my legs out easily and you don't have to wake someone up and climb over bodies to get to the restroom. Plus, it is much quicker to stand up and grab your stuff when the plane lands and get in line to disembark. I also greatly prefer an exit row if I can get it. There is typically a good deal more leg room, especially on a large plane.

Well I generally fly with 1 or two of my sons- so they always stick the kids and parents at the back of the plane.
:-(
Am not sure if that is a general rule on all airlines, but that's the way it's been on Australia / New Zealand airlines.
I pefer to have a window seat.

it somewhat relies upon. i'd desire to p.c. an aisle seat indoors the middle, that way you do no longer could want to tension diverse persons if u could want to pass to the washing room and you get asked first via utilising the stewardess/steward what sort of snacks or liquids you like. of direction, in case you p.c. the 1st somewhat row in coach, you're able to want to get extra leg room and be the between the 1st off of the airplane so which you're no longer waiting crammed indoors the aisle waiting with somewhat each and every person else. some planes have loos indoors the lower back and front so in case you have a bladder undertaking that's somewhat useful to take a seat down nearer to the washing room. in case you prefer to look out the window, p.c. a window seat. no count selection which seat, submit to in recommendations the placement you located your carryon bags!!

I'm scared of flying, the sound of an airplane makes me cringe...
Every since the movie La Bamba, I've had a fear of flying :-(
If I had a choice, I'd want to be close to an exit! I'll relax when I get off the plane!

At the aisle emergency exit at the very rear of the plane....more leg space, safer (in case the plane crashes, most people survive at the rear), close to the WC

In understand why people like the aisle. But I prefer the window. I like the view and it feels more private and I have a wall to lean on to sleep!

I like to choose exit rows or bulkhead seats for the extra legroom without paying for business or first class seats. Also on north/south flights, I choose seating that will be on the opposite side of the sun.

by the window, as close to the front as possible, usually on the left but will take the right if seats are nearer front. because i try to only bring hand luggage and i want to get off first.

In a perfect world, first class.
In the real world, always an aisle, and bulkhead when possible.
