Do you give your phone number to a guy you have no interest in dating if he asks?

I wouldn't personally, because then when he calls I'd have to give an excuse to him then. I'd rather just say something like I don't give out my phone number or I'm already dating someone..

nope, the guy might be a stalker and then when he calls u about 500 times u finaly pick up and agree to meet him again not knowing his secret plan! Then when u see again he sticks a tracker discretly in ur hair and starts to become ur stalker dundundun. He ends up following u everywhere, but then the day comes when u r helplesly buying that new double delux fudge icecream bar from the icecream truck. The harmless ice cream truck...or is? Oh no it turns out he is driving the icecream truck!!! He quickly grabs u along with ur ice cream and throws you in the back of the truck. He starts to come towards u but u r smart! So u point behind him and stare in that direction like there is something interesting over there. "Holy Mole day!" u yell "thats a big dango!" he falls for ur trap and turns around. You then swiftly grab the frying pan that you have been saving in ur back pocket an *SMACK* hit him right in the back of head. U get out of the walking powrfully into the horizon where the sun is now setting. *Click* u press the button and *BAMMERS* the truck explodes behind you "oops" u whisper to ur self with a smirk. U now know not to take phone numbers from strangers again!

why is it all about dating. if the guy was acting like a stalker then probably not but if he was a genuinly nice guy they yeah, i would give my number because he could make a great friend. friendships can always lead to a relationship so the key is to have an open mind.

I might give him a "made up number." Or if he managed to get my number some other way, I'd turn on the answering machine and not return his call.

I give a lot of people my phone number, weither I'm planing on dating them or not. If their my friend, or some one I just met, and plan on being friends with them, they sure, Id give him my number.

yea sure why not that is how i ended up being friends with some of my guy friends...just coz you dont want to date that person does not mean he is not fit to be a friend...everyone deserves a chance. the trick here is to just make things clear when you notice that he is interested in you,that you prefer not to be in a ralationship at the moment or u seeing sumone just be original with the excuse or reason.

Never. I hesitate to give my phone numbers to guys I do like, I'd never give it to a guy I didn't!

I usually don't give my phone number out to anyone. I generally take theirs.

Ya, why not? I mean, I would at least. I still like to text people when I feel lonely and I wouldn't mind a call or two to see what's going on in his life. (:

yea, because they reel me in with friendly conversation then catch me off guard with the "can i call you sometime?'' If i say no, then I'll look like a b**** or they'll ask why and i'll be forced to say they're not attractive or whatever. I usually just do it and regret it later while hoping they wont call.....then I'll have to ignore them
