No, there is no difference, they are both R72, both the same brand and quality. The word pro is used to entice buyers to click on that listing rather than the one that doesn't read "pro". People usually think one is better than the other given the word "pro". That seller banks on the likelyhood that the person looking at it won't examine the picture of the product and notice it's exaclty the same as the first. There is no indication of what "pro" means for that particular filter, nor is there anything in the description that would differetiate it from the other, no special coatings, and no special thickness. I happen to know personally that there is no "pro" hoya R72 filter that is any different than any other, only the spectrum differences between filters ranging from 700nm to 1200nm depending on what film you use. The R72 is a standard used in digital IR photography. Welcome to ebay, and price gouging.

both will work but if you are using digital, be aware of this. Shots will take long exposures so you must use a tripod. Most digital cameras have built in filters to get rid of IR. I have actually found that my old Olympus 3040Z takes a better IR photo (probably due to lack of built in filters) than my Canon 30D. Yahoo has an IR group where you can go for more information;Infrared_Photography.

easily, a around polarizing filter out suited for the digital camera's lens could in all probability do a greater helpful pastime of reducing the glare/mirrored image. you additionally can substitute your digital camera mounting factor and positioned the entire ingredient at the back of a sheer black cloth very equivalent to a sniper's conceal for shooting from interior a room.
