You know I have this research paper. I chose autopsy as my topic. I would like to ask if how do churches view this process. Is it something immoral? I needed the answers badly. Thanks. Any religion will do better if I will have the reactions from different religions.

Because you know we have to respect the dead persons?

Do churches even have an official view on this??
As a christian I don't believe an autopsy is 'immoral' and if someone said it is I'd have to ask 'on what grounds?'
I've never heard of a church that discusses this let alone opposes it.

Autopsies are necessary for a vast number of reasons; they are means to discover means of death, pathology, and they protect medical personnel.
Once you're dead, you're dead, there is no fixing your physical body, so an autopsy should not be prevented by religious convictions.

Most Christian denominations do not consider an autopsy to be immoral. Sometimes this procedure is needed to determine a cause of death when that's not so immediately apparent or when foul play is suspected.

Mormons dont care, but you really arent suppose to get cremated.
Sometimes you dont have a choice because it is mandated by the courts if the death is suspicious.

I think it's fine. The Bible takes a "let the dead be dead"/"once you're dead, it isn't really you" mentality. Plus, churches officially promote organ donation, why not detective work?

If it is a criminal case it is necessary and religion shouldn't come into play. Other than that, shouldn't everyone be cremated so we can free up land for edible and organic crops?

I'm an atheist. As long as the family is ok with it, or if there is a matter of law involved, then it's fine.

You should just stop by and ask a priest or rabbi or reverend. they will be better equipped to answer your question.
