I had shoulder surgery about 5 weeks ago. Initially I was doing really well for 2 weeks or so. Now my shoulder is killing me and my range of motion has decreased. I had a pain pump after surgery and have read alot about them causing problems with damage to the shoulder. Does anyone know if it is possibly from the pump or something else? Supposed to go to dr next tuesday but desperate to relieve pain now. By the way I have been to therapy 3 times a week for past 4 weeks.

Pretty much everyone I know who has had shoulder surgery has had trouble and pain afterwards.

i had rotator cuff surgery a little over 4 years ago it still hurts very bad and i have very little range of motion i would tell anyone not to have shoulder surgery man i hope you feel better ask your doctor for zanaflex 4 mg 3 times a day i havehad cortisone injections and 2 years of pt and it did not work

You'll need therapy for a time, then maybe tendinitis has set in, possible for cortisone shots. There's a lot in your shoulder that can go wrong. Lot's of movement, It took me eight months and I still get a check. It takes time.

You need to take ibuprofen (to help with swelling and inflammation) and tell your surgeon about your symptoms.
