I have been certified for almost 4 years and in the field for almost 5 years. I have my cpr certification as well. I am a single mom of three that lives in Sullivan and I am hoping to get another job real soon due to Christmas coming up and loosing my last job. Thank you for your time and Seasons Greetings.

You should try applying for a home health aide job with a temp agency and then if they don't give you enough work, you can apply for unemployment against your last job if you worked there more than 6 months. If you don't get enough work, then that is the same as being "laid off"...and it doesn't matter how you lost the other job then...whether fired or quit...as long as laid off from the next job...

Apply for food stamps with Jobs and Family services. You could maybe get medicaid for the kids also.Call 211 to get set up with First Link and the food bank. (to stretch dollars). Salvation army collects coats to give out to needy people at Christmas, so if you need any coats, check there.

I agree you should go with a temp agency however HHA tends to pay less then an avg CNA will make, Just remember no matter what they say to only commit to shifts you can actually make and take good care of yourself you vehicle and your kids.
GOod luck and GOd Bless

Dear friend,
I know you already know about Job Website’s, there you can create your CV by referring to professional suggestion

In your quest I would like to repeat some advice even you already know it. (and also I wish you good luck);

TIPS:
- Job Websites: they are a good way to be in the market, post your cv on them.
- CV: it is useful to get & apply professional cv tips on your CV.

WARNING:
Some times fraudulent people contact online job searchers with offers of dream jobs, to rip them of their money.

But don’t worry simply use common sense by knowing that “If its too good to be true then its probably not”
