Isn't it terribly conceited to think that we are modeled after a God?

If there's a god, it seems like just some being, and it DOESN'T see what we do, know what we think, hear what we say, or care at all whether or not we follow man-made rules.

Grow some bacteria and try to read their single-celled minds. Watch their actions, are they good or bad?
But wait, you created the bacteria! Why can't you read their minds? God created us, and he can read OUR minds, right?

"Grammar mistake : you can't refer to God by It."

I'm sorry, I should have remembered to say "Him," with a capital "h". Because, you know, I'm certain that god is a male.

You're making a lot of assumptions; therefore, since you're only ranting, I'm given to understand that you don't really want an answer. So, I'll just go away with my two points and 'nuff said.

1. Why is it conceited to think that we are all connected in spirit to a greater force? I actually think that's a selfless thought because it acknowledges that we are all linked in the divine and as such we should all treat each other with kindness.

2. You can think of God however you'd like. I prefer to view the divine spirit as a benevolent and caring force in this world.

3. This whole analogy makes no sense. Neither you nor I can "create" bacteria. You can grow bacteria but that's not the same thing. You may grow an apple tree but you do not create apples. They already exist.

You do not have to believe the same things that I do, and frankly, I do not care what you believe, it's not my business. However, I would suggest you do some more reading before posting long rants.

I think you're concieted to openly blaspheme God almighty like that. Why does God require exclusive devotion? Well... if you created something wouldnt you require your creation to follow your rules? Do you have children? Do you require them to follow your rules? If so... why shouldnt God do the same? He created us and all he asks back from us is to live our lives according to his standards! And his standards do nothing but create morally sound and decent human beings .... whats so wrong with that. Perhaps you should look closely into just who your talkin bout before you make sucha comment against someone ive spent my whole life serving.

the 1st Commandment (a minimum of the version in Exodus 20) implicitly recognizes that the classic proto-Hebrew human beings believed in and worshipped "different gods" - tribal gods, prolonged family members gods, nature gods, family members gods, etc. the 1st Commandment says, "Thou shalt have no different gods in the previous ME," which skill, YHWH is the variety one god, and the belief in different gods, if that's allowed in any respect, could desire to be subordinate to the worship of and obedience to YHWH. So the god of the Hebrew Bible did no longer tell the Hebrews that they could worship different gods. on the different, Deuteronomy specifies that folk who attempt to charm to others to worship different gods rather of YHWH are to be positioned to demise. Deut. 13:12-sixteen and 13:7-11.

I don't know. Why do some gods gather in groups and ask people to dance around under the moon for them?

if he demanded it, trust me you everybody in the world would be doing it. It is an option that I myself have chosen because He created us and he can tell us what we can and can not do. We are His creation and should do what he says. And you should be glad to worship somebody who loves you so much to send His only son to die for everybody's sins (even the terrorists and murderers).

Are you referring to different idols or Our God Almighty. If you`re referring to the Lord God, it is totally blasphemous to call Him "it".

You dont have to if you dont want to. There is allot more to worship that you think. Those who know God will always worship Him. Those who dont and wont seek Him, will ask questions like you just asked.

Duh... I never created bacteria, and neither did you. God created bacteria. If I grow them, I just provide them with nourishment and environment. That's a far different act than creating them. If they're symbiotic with me, they're good. If they make me really ill or kill me, they're bad. Your parallel is for far from parallel it's not even humorous.
