Something which is really different is shot glasses of cold tomato juice with a dash of sauce like tobasco or whatever you like. It's meant to be like a soup and you serve it chilled. Sushi, like California rolls cut into slices with soy sauce for dipping went down really well at a recent party I threw. It's also appreciated by people who are watching what they eat.

7 Layer Bean Dip is always a hit. Easy and good.
Deviled eggs ,
Cream puffs filled with chicken salad or sweet whipped cream/custard. Always a show stopper!
Little smokies wrapped in bacon, baked and served warm or room temp. Serve with various sauces.
Marinated asparagas. Serve room temp.
Hope these help!
