Get a spray bottle and fill it with ice and water and spray yourself down. You can use fans if there are outlets (dont have a clue there)
When my group went camping in 110* heat, they took bath wipes and waterless shampoo and worked it out that way.
However you do it, have fun!

The porta showers are great. Get one and get over it. Keep your bra and panties or bikini on. Use a cup or bottle to get wet to soap up and just let the shower rip to rinse off. They work great and you will be done before you know it. Just have your man or a good friend watch out for you while you do it.
Been to the races b4? Make sure you don't forget your binoculars, camera, suntan lotion, sunglasses, cooler, earplugs and lip balm. You will be glad for each of these items at one time or another. Been to races several times and all are handy. Don't drink too much cuz those trips to the bathroom make you miss the race. Make sure to get trackside early enough to watch early happenings. If you can, purchase pit passes. It's something that is way worth the money.

I don't think you'll have a problem staying cool at Talladega. I would think you might want a portable camping heater if anything, it gets a bit chilly at night in April.
As far as staying clean, bring some extra beer, make some friends with some folks who have the big RVs, and ask them if you could shower in their rig. NASCAR people who do the whole weekend thing are generally nice hospitable people.

October 2000.. Earnhardt drops lower back to eighteenth, with fewer then ten to pass.. the gang gasps.. He possibilities up Kenny Wallace interior the 55 sq. D vehicle, and drives from eighteenth to win the race in 4 laps.. i've got consistently questioned if that have been pre-arranged... Edit: Andy Petree who owned the 55 vehicle, have been certainly one of Dale's perfect group Chiefs.. They have been Champions at the same time, and remained acquaintances, alongside with Richard Childress.. Kenny Wallace have been a pal to boot..

I can't really help you. I went there around '98 when D.E. won. We had a rent-a-car and didn't find a hotel room until Atlanta! About 2 hours away!
But we came back on race day before the gates opened and spent alot of time in/around/walking through the camp grounds walking to the front gate and I wish I were YOU right about now. LOL.

It wont be hot in April! Been there 10 times in the spring. Most likely, it will rain alot. Seems as though it rains more often in the spring race than it doesnt rain. The weather will actually be perfect, barring if you get rain. Enjoy it. Where are you camping? Ummm, if you have never been there, there are camping zones where its like Mardi Gras! Prepare to see alot of flashing and beads. Unless, you camp in the family section!

the average tempertures in and around this area is hi's in the mid 70's and low's about 50. So it is not unbarable.
However as for the shower not much help here but carry a swimsuit and be a little covered.

Nice weather forecast. Hot as heck at Talladega in April. It might just rain all weekend. You should find something better to worry about.
